* Looney and Williams can excel in the NFL - that is a huge plus

* Gallup and Austin are legit deep threats vs any CB, Dak has to also get them slants for this to work

* Swaim still can't run an option route, but is a better receiver than I thought

* Beasley will always get open with time to work

* coaches rarely go play action deep, in a play action deep timing system - huh?

* Dak is at his best throwing down field, note he was drafted as a play action deep timing system QB

* Zeke is an awesome RB, I appreciate his attitude after mistakes, then delivering his best

* Austin can play RB and any WR spot at a high level, no trick plays - just get him the ball

* DLaw is gonna cost a fortune

* Tyrone Crawford earns his money, we're 2 DTs from a serious DL and Irving is one of them

* Taco and Gregory are not nearly as fierce as expected ... that needs to change

* the duo of Jaylon and LVE could be a good for years, my mid season they could be a force

* Brown and Jones are by far our best DBs, note they are also prototype CBs

* Lewis is an odd duck, not made to come off the bench in rotation, he needs a feel for the game
IMO Brown, Jones, and Awuzie are better CBs but still the most under used talent on the team

* Awuzie should've been moved to FS, when Jones went to RC,
Brown / Lewis at LC, the other at SC (depending on game match ups)

* Woods, Heath, and Frazier are all decent SSs, not one of them even thinks like a FS
and only Heath has the speed for the job

* the combo of not starting Lewis and not moving Chido to FS and not drafting / singing a FS was the stupid move of the off season, ET was too expensive but hey ... the need was glaring - it will haunt this D

* Chido is good and getting better at LC ... but they need their best athletes on the field

I'm not sure why the OP is so high on Brown and down on Chido at CB. Brown has physical talent, but too often gets confused and leaves people wide open, while Chido also has physical talent (though not as much pure speed as Brown) and sticks to his man like a glove.

You have a different draft report on Dak than most of the nfl. Gallup has been underwhelming and to my eye is actually less impressive than TWill was his rookie year. Austin is gadget player is not a full time WR and not full time RB and his touches this point prove that. That being said witht he right plays he is explosive.

I agree with most except the Brown and Lewis evaluation. Could be that Lewis needs to play more. Chido is by far superior to Brown on the outside. Brown likes to grab and hold when he's on an island outside. Brown looked pretty bad against the Lions WR's. He's OK as a slot corner but you may be right about Lewis needing to play more in the slot Trust Richard to evaluate them tho

Chido was great against the Lions receivers. He just got ate up by great throws and catches. Very few in the league could have done better on those specific throws. Brown did lose it mentally but has elite speed. I think we need to trust Richard to work with him a little longer. We don't have a FS on the team and I think the team knows it and in order to not be hostage to it are trying to put a band aid over it. Unfortunately the band aid is peeling...

who said anything about "full time"?

10 touches a game and Austin will get you 100y, he should be on the field the majority of snaps

T. Williams had Dez and Austin to pull coverage on the other side as a rookie.

that still leaves a massive issue at FS, I'm not saying Lewis or Brown are better starting CBs than Chido ... it's just crazy not to use Lewis, he's one of the best 5 DBs

I'd done so many things different - like Jaylon at SS, I'd have taken a look at Brown and Auwzie at FS ... Woods may grown into decent FS, but not yet, and Jones shouldn't have ever played anything but RC - but they don't listen to me

He has been good all season. Yep blanket coverage on the Lions WR's but Stafford made great throws and the receivers made wow catches. As far as Brown, he played well his first 3 games, poorly against the Lions. Work needed for sure. When will we learn that drafting a FS early should be a priority. Our band aids have all come in 6'th round or later

Yep, no argument @issues at safety. We have to live with what we have and hope that Woods adapts. Both Heath and Frazier are decent SS. S doesn't even seem to be in the mix on draft days unless it's day 3. That has to change. Draft one high, get them in and let Richard coach them up
