Even though they're not "retired" I'm sure 12 and 22 are untouchable. And Troy's #8 will probably be the same too since QBs are held to a higher regard

No player has ever worn 74 since Bob Lilly and I doubt anyone ever will. His number is not retired though. Nor is 12, 8, or 22. I don't expect any of them to be worn again though without that player giving personal permission.

I don't think many of the numbers are all that protected but no doubt a couple of them are.

I would imagine no player will ever wear 94 again after wear.
