West Coast offense takes time to learn. Dak was a big proponent of Kellen partly b/c he doesn't want to learn a new offense. That would require him to get out of his comfort zone. I suspect they will stick w/ much of the same and add a few knew wrinkles.

Its going to be WCO...............Garrett's/Moore's trash Tecmo Bowl playbook is going into the crapper.

And one very important point..........WCO does not use very many option routes where the WR and QB run the route based on the coverage during the play. The routes are preset and the coverage dictates where the ball goes, there is no guessing involved between the QB and WR.

I think this will help Dak tremendously, he and the WRs were always reading the defense wrong so WCO should limit Dak's picks next season.

With Kellen Moore (O-Coordinator) and Doug Nussmeier (QBs coach) (Air Coryell offensive philosophy) now gone, and Mike McCarthy (West Coast philosophy) expected to take over offensive playcalling duties as head coach, which offensive philosophy will Mike McCarthy run in 2023 with the Dallas Cowboys? Better yet, which one do you prefer and why? Please answer the poll...

It will be west coast and I am ready to see it.

Proven system that has won many superbowls.

Not this loser system we have had forever.

What does it matter?

Sure looked that way yesterday didn't it... then I read this morning that there were calls missed against KC and of coarse the do-over they got on 3rd and 9...

voch talks too much adult adhd is bad!!

- What i take out of this promo vid, is various formations, John Kuhn FB pass receiving underneath, dual RBs in same backfield.

- And two other big keys to me: Misdirection plays and how RBs are schemed- designed in the pass game.

- That's gonna be so very huge and key for a RB like Pollard, who was vastly underdeveloped and under-utilized by Kellen.

- Perhaps we'll see much more well designed and used RB screens ....misdirection RB swing and flair passes, and RB isolation. .

I don't care who the OC is at this point as long as KM's go to call of a WR screen with no blockers is not in the playbook.

Do we know for sure it will be WCO?
Word on the street, it’s going to be the same offense, just with MM calling the plays. I really don’t buy it unless it meant that Moore potentially stayed to teach the offense to McCarthy, before he took over. Moore has been looking to move on for a couple years, based on the fact he interviewed for the BS head coaching job, but Jerry basically offered him a lot of money.

But to expect MM to call plays in the same offense?

This is what I’m afraid of……if they stick with the same system it’s all for not.

McCarthy's offenses were garbage in his later days in Green Bay. Rodgers was audibling out of everything... very reminiscent of how Romo used to run the play clock down to 0 checking out of JG's garbage.

Dak is pretty smart, but I don't think he is at the Romo or Rodgers level where he just throws away the playbook and calls his own offense. He will listen to McCarthy and he will be throwing a lot of flat and curl routes short of the sticks.

I hope not
