Obsessive straightening of all objects in room prior to game; nervous pacing during game; dragon walk after games we win, irritable venting on this site after games we lose.

Do you actually get to watch the games, Jem?

I thought you were some place outside of the U.S.

BTW, how have you been, man?

So I guess you have to watch ESPN to be able to remember who won...

Me I remove everything from my living room of the oposing teams color including Couch's, paintings, books, everything except the carpet (had to have beige so not to have that problem) get out my Dallas collectables and arrange them in the Room I'm watching the game then I kick everyone out of the room (kids and wife).....I got it bad.....
:lmao2: :laugh1: That was good and extreme.

Me, if it's a noon game, I'm like a kid the day before Christmas I can't sleep at night. Since I live here in the Dallas area, I have my radio on every pre-game show switching form station to station.
This year, I'll be getting on the zone or going to the game, I kick all out of the room (kids,Wife, animals, I have a back up blan incase the power goes out, I have a generator ready to go.

I usually record the game while listening to the local broadcast. I love the bias opinion on the radio, after the game if we win I listen to all the post game shows, if we lose I don't talk to anyone until the next day.

I have very few rituals for the preseason games........Usually make a list of players to which I will give my attention too.

Regular season games that's another story.......I'll save that for another thread.

I went to college at UB in Buffalo. Love that Labatts. Much better than it is here in NYC.

Went to Niagara Falls with the wife three months ago. Stopped off at Duff's for some wings. She didn't like them ... but loved the Labatts.

How about shipping me a few cases?

I am stuck here in Montreal another 6 to 8 weeks. Yes, LaBatts is very good, but I like the Molson Dry also.

Can't wait to get back to Texas, get some of that Lone Star
Actually, Michelob Ultra. 4 months with Hite (Korean beer, excellent also) and will be 4 months Canadian beer. Heck, I'll take some of that Pittsburgh Iron City beer right now :lmao2:

I light 200 perfectly placed candles around the big screen, and threaten to slowly burn and torture anyone who talks why I watch the game. To date I have eliminated several dozen people. :)

I don't have any pre-game ritual for pre-season games. unless you count taking a tranquilizer to ward off anger at incompetence. Pre-season games are just too ugly to take seriously, all you can do is watch a few selected players and see if you can see anything in them that looks like they know what they're doing or have any promise for this season or the future.

The only thing I really do on Sunday morning is try to make up a reason to my wife to leave church early and be on time for the game.

It really depends on when the game is played.

I'm at my best for the noon games. I just sit and wait for the game. But, there's some pre-game stuff so I'm good. I get up early and before I know it, there's some Cowboy's stuff on TV.

I hate the 3:00 games. Primarily because I have to watch some other game before I can watch the real game. But pretty much I just sit and wait until 3:00 for the game.

Now, the Sunday night games are just awful. I have to sit and wait much later. By this time my wife and kid have left to stay at my in-laws to avoid being around me. But pretty much I sit and wait for a longer period of time that the 3:00 games.

Monday night games are the worst for me on Sundays. I pretty much just sit and wait for Monday. Then I sit and wait all day Monday.

Sorry for the background color. I got my fingers tied up in the keyboard and evidently produced some sort of magic that did this. I'm not smart enough to fix it. :(

Well, crud, I can't seem to undo this. Any help on fixing the background color? It's showing in all my posts now. See what happens when I have to sit and wait?

You're in Montreal, one of the most cultured cities in North America and you're complaining? I gathered from your recent posts that you were stuck somewhere in north Alberta, but Montreal? If you can't appreciate a city like that, than something is truly wrong.

Don't get me wrong, I loved the Jazz Fest, downtown Montreal is great. I've had a lot of fun. Always something to do or a place to go. But other circumstances are involved which I won't go into because it really doesn't matter, so overall it has been mixed opinion of being here, or anywhere. I am actually 1 hour from Montreal now, because my company put me in a condo where there is nothing to do. So it's very boring. But I do appreciate the opprtunities I get and take advantage and enjoy the different cultures. But sometimes it wil be nice to be back in Texas (or wherever your home is) other than a week every 60 days.

I usually BBQ BEFORE each late game. (ribs and/or chicken and/or fajitas, or burgers, etc..)
Sometimes instead, it's pizza or party food..

Noon game, then I have Brunch and it's usually Barbacoa. (Mexican BBQ.)

Don't really care, as long as I have a good meal.

Oh yes, let's not forget the cold ones.

I also hang my Cowboys Flag-Banner outside my house and this year I'm going to start displaying in my front lawn one of those 8ft inflatable Cowboys players that I got as a gift from my wife.

What kind of rituals do you guys/gals have.

Barbacoa....ohalay...I'm there !!!

I really don't believe in rituals, but there are a few precautionary things I find myself doing just prior to an Eagles game, playoff game or Superbowl ...

I usually make sure I have some chilled beverages and a few sandwiches and snacks in the frig, just in case someone drops over unexpectedly. I'll also take special efforts to clean off the wide-screen before watching the game and ask my wife and son that if they want me to do anything they'd better speak up before the game starts.

All other games I just sit down a watch intermittently.

Fair enough. That is a great Jazz festival, much better than Toronto's. In fact, Montreal is better than Toronto in every way except the weather. -40 degrees celsius is a bit too cold!

Well I know exactly how you feel. Last years Monday Night Game against Seattle resulted in a coffee table being tipped over and a $75 dollar bill for the carpet cleaners. As far as ritual goes, the family comes over, we bbq about two hours before the game and when the game starts, the wives take those children who arent interested in the game into another room and the beer comes out. Whoever has command of the remote must perform his duty or he is demoted to beer fetcher. ;)

Yeah, I broke a couch, a remote, and chipped a TV set. So I feel ya.

This year setting up the tailgate party in the back yard (SUnday Ticket in the back of a truck, two tv sets, bbq, and Labatts!!!!

Ahh... good ol' Duff's and some Labatt's. I went to UB myself, and oddly enough I'm also in the city now... so the obvious question here is .. Where do you go for wings? I could definitely go for a few cold ones and some good wings tonight..

Duff's wings! Cannot go wrong there!
