I used to have the IPhone 3 G but the ATT service in my area is just terrible. I have read that the Iphone is going to Verizon in January.

However , I jumped to Verizon and I have the Droid X and I have to say it's pretty amazing.

It is big, but I have big hands and poor vision so the bigger screen is great.
It's actually pretty slim and doesn't feel bulky in your pocket or jacket.

I don't think I'd buy it out for the Iphone on VZ in January.

Android has really closed the gap, you can do just about everything and more on the Droid phones as the IPhone.

I have the original Nexus One. (the REAL Google phone)

I've haven't actually seen any of the Motorla Droid Phones, but I have seem the Samsung phones. The Nexus One easily tops them. My wife and daughter have an iTouch and several co-workers have iPhones and I have yet to see a device that tops it.

I will say this, I've seem some iPhone and Ipad games that I have yet to see on Android, but I have looked up to find out that those games are coming to Android.

That said, if you get a capable device were the hardware isn't an issue (samsung has GPS issues) then Android is the way to go. Even if you have to wait six more months before it pretty much dominates all other phones in every single category. (including games and any other app)

I am not a cell phone guy at all. A simple Sony Erickson. I do not have text messaging. I have never taken a photo with it or used it as a radio. I just want it to be a phone.

That's all I used to get. The Sony Ericssons were great for basic phone services.

They had great cameras too. My last Sony phone died while I was transferring pics. :(

Since then, all I've bought were Blackberries. I got a Bold 9700 now.

It serves my purpose. I don't even use many of the features since I'm not in school anymore.

iPhone 4 and love it, but I'd take a decent Android phone in a second and not look back.

Even looking forward to the new Windows phones.

Your basic Samsung from Verizon. The one you get for free when you renew.

No photo or texting for me either.

Verizon Wireless SMT5800

Easily way more phone than I need. I just use it for phone calls and the occasional text or picture.

HTC Hero. First touch phone I've ever owned. Didn't think I'd like it.....LOVE IT!!

Dell Streak running Android 2.1 but getting an OTA update to 2.2 next month.
Amazing phone.

How do you like your Droid? I haven't ever used one before so I'm curious.

I have one as well. It's extremely well-built. The entire thing is made out of metal except for a small strip of plastic around the camera lens on the back. You could literally seriously injure someone with it.

I have a Palm Pre. The WebOS software it runs on is amazingly intuitive. I used to use an iPhone 3G (I still have the iphone), but I prefer this one.

Samsung Captivate. Like it very much.
Friend just got a Droid X. Seems like a real nice phone too.

The Samsung Galaxy S line are very nice phones. I was taking a peek at my interns new Captivate just last week. I liked it.

I told him he needed to root it so he could sideload apps and take off all of the ATT crap the preinstall.

Once rooted the phone is very nice. It has a beautiful screen too.
