I am not a cell phone guy at all. A simple Sony Erickson. I do not have text messaging. I have never taken a photo with it or used it as a radio. I just want it to be a phone.

Wow, you're a rare bread these days friend! no Texting!? how? , how can one get by in a day without sending at least once text? LOL

But I commend you because , the power of the mobile internet in your palm can be addicting in a bad way.

That's the one problem I have with this Droid X thing, I'm, always connected!!

I checked Cowboyszone at a RedLight this morning! :laugh2: drives the wife nuts too.

I user Launcher Pro , works like a charm. I will not root a phone, because I know I'll brick it, I don't know what the hell I'm doing , no way can I risk it. LOL

I'm not sure Apple can hold off the Android onslaught.

I LOVE Apple but the Droid's can do anything an Iphone can often times on a better provider than ATT , except for that front camera deal.

Apple had their chance to make Android non-existent, but they failed and it could be one of their biggest mistakes.

It's very easy. I send maybe 7 texts a month, and that is usually to stupid people who only respond to texts and don't answer their phones.

Texting is pretty useless most of the time.

iPhone 4.

Eventually, I will join the Android Craze or ditch ATT and go back to Verizon, once they get the iPhone.

iPhone 4. Hoping it comes to Verizon early next year so I can have better coverage.

I know the EVO 4G can do that as well and it doesn't require wifi to do it either.

I'm not sure on other Android phones though. That's the one I know of off the top of my head.

i just took out a new contract. got a nokia x3 on t-mobile. its an older phone but still has a decent camera, customisable ring tones and internet which is all the extras i really want anyway. had been going to get the htc desire, which incidentally my girlfriend got and is a brilliant phone, but then found a deal where i got the x3 for free, 25 quid a month for 500 mins, 600 texts and unlimited internet. similar contract to the htc but i got a free 32" flatscreen tv so figured i could make do with an older phone.

HTC Desire. Everyone else in the office has the Iphone and they all now want what I got.

It absolutely blows the iphone away in pretty much every category you can imagine.

I could have gotten that one but went with the hero. How's the battery life on the Desire? That's the only complaint I have with the hero.

same issue, probably a bit worse because the processor drains it a bit more.

I don't really have a problem in that regard though because I charge as a drive, or while I am working on the computer.

but if you are stranded in the the wilderness, this is not the phone to have!

It's amazing how nobody said they have a Blackberry - the once Chevy like of smartphones. People have them for business , but consumers go for the touch screen phones now with great browsers.

That new BB Torch looks cool but I tried my friends and the Internet is still VERY slow.

Well, you have me. :)

I like my Blackberry. I've tried a couple of friends touch screens and they're hard for me to operate.

I'll prolly get the BB Torch when I'm due for an upgrade, but I'll prolly still primarily use the keypad.
