A power formation using Guard Williams is too hard to figure out? I would purely just POUND the ball inside the 10. That opens up the pass as well...

Heck, use Williams as a fullback as Chicago did with Perry.

With that much 'truly' needing changing, why not just switch to flag football instead?

It’s a combination of all things. There’s no one single thing to point to,because you had injuries,lack of personnel,to just bad coaching. They need to address it more in the off-season,either in the draft or via FA though. This is two straight years of it being unstable,and undisciplined. It’s really only because Dak is built like a dumpster truck that he isn’t on IR. And i’m just talking about the line itself,aside from Dak. They get blown up inside every game. Straight shoot up the middle and he’s just backpedaling,or guys coming around the edges unblocked. You can’t have that + injuries + penalties + poor coaching issues all at the same time too. That’s a recipe for disjointed chaos,and that’s exactly what they’ve gotten the last two years from it.

Agree! Someone who actually watches the games and can see the weakest unit on team, the O line. So many fans on this site think this O line’s pass blocking is fine, but game after game they give up early pressures and sacks. O line pass blocking needs to improve if we want to make a playoff run.

And we do need a solution to red zone issues. I’m surprised they haven’t been targeting Cooper much in those situations.

It seems like this is where they’d use Gathers, but his run blocking must be bad enough that they don’t feel the trade offs are worth it.

Maybe Brown ends up being an unexpected option down in the RZ. He’s the most Dez-like WR we’ve got now.

Linehan and Garrett could do so much more with this offense. Lineman’s predictable play calls make it harder for everyone to make plays!! Why the heck don’t we max protect on 1st down and throw it down the field. This O line struggles to pass block when the other team knows we are passing, SO pass on 1st down more often and keep Zek into block.

I also believe early on Williams was a liability

Now I and a lot fans know and understand Dak at times holds on to the ball to long so if we can leave that narrative to the side for this thread I think there’s still enough of those threads already bn discussed.

I never realized the loss of Leary was going to be that huge or free retiring-but this line has played so different for the better part of a year

Now Columbo may have them trending up but in my opinion this is the biggest issue on offense not the only but the biggest and the coaching staffs refusal to adjust accordingly with play calling.

No guys like me have been fair to say that yes Dak has things to improve on but I have faulted the line as a also part of the problem

I don’t post as much here but all along I can be seen at the ranch defending Dak as much as I can while also being fair to his shortcomings . So I’m not sure where your getting guys like me

Cause if you knew for sure about my thoughts then you would know I have been blasted for sticking up for Dak

It’s been a variety of things that caused struggles and as those things have been addressed somewhat we have started to play better

That was the first thing I thought of, too. He’s played both spots.
If you do that, you lose the goodwill you got extending Collins early. If Tyron’s issues are a problem the rest of the year, you can’t keep him Fleming there Arvin RT anyway. And I do think Collins has the tools to be really good out there, but he’s not.

I think it’s something you consider and see how things go when Smith his healthy again. We do need to do something at RT long term, though.

IF Smith can still play then I do the following:

Move Martin over the LT, move Smith over to RT, Colllins back to guard with Williams playing guard, and Frederick at Center.

Trade Collins for a pick.

I’d keep him as Tyrons back up and swing tackle.

Problems by La'el have been exaggerated.

Sua-Filo has been better than C-Williams but is far from great.

Tyron had some issues early in the season then got better but obviously has missed the last 2 games.

Frederick's line calls and game knowledge have been missed even more than his physical ability.
