You may consider these guys "reaches" at those spots, but that is the what me worry part they will all be there when we pick, fit our "profile" and fill our "needs", so what if we could have gotten "better value" by trading down and picking them later.

Earl Thomas is comparable to the best defensive draft prospect in a decade? Moving up isn't a bad idea, but I think the guys that will be available at #27 will be quality football players. We won't have a shot at the *studs*, which means our scouts have to do a heck of a job.

Berrys size and athleticism make him the top safety for me, but theyre similar prospects.

But Berry is top 7ish. Thomas might be there around 27.

To get from 27 to 10 that "mid rounder" next year is a second. This isn't bball where 2 or 3 stars get you a championship, good depth is more important.
