What movies would you consider a Perfect 10 scale ?

I was going by "perfect" as intent, pacing, etc. It didn't take itself too seriously, but was entertaining, funny, and interesting. It was probably the second best Star Trek movie even if it's not part of the franchise.

Gladiator is my personal favorite.
Glad you mentioned Saving Private Ryan.
I may be a bit biased as a retired Ranger but that movie should be required for all Americans. To learn about sacrifice and what that generation of Americans sacrificed for all of us future generations should never be forgotten.

A perfect movie? Hmmm. I may have to think about this one. It's definitely a very subjective topic. I do wonder how much nostalgia drives our choices, which, I think is perfectly acceptable.

Here are a couple off the top of my head.

The Lion King (the 1994 original) - I loved this movie. It masterfully blends storytelling and life lessons with an unforgettable music score. For an animated film, its emotional depth, character arcs, and iconic moments come together seamlessly, making it a timeless classic.

The Princess Bride - This movie really is a perfect blend of adventure, romance, and humor. The writing is razor-sharp, the one-liners are legendary, and the balance of sincerity and satire is just spot-on. It’s one of those rare films that never gets old, no matter how many times you watch it.

The Rock - I think this movie is great! It has engaging storyline, unforgettable characters, and is the peak of '90s action films. While I know this one is subjective, I’ll die on this hill! It's a flawless classic that blends action, suspense, and great performances, especially from Nic Cage and Sean Connery.

Batman Trilogy - Honestly, I love all three of Christopher Nolan's Batman movies. I think he knocked it out of the park with these movies. While I understand that Dark Knight was the strongest, I do think the other two movies have their place. Nolan brought a grounded, gritty realism to Gotham, and each film adds something unique. Additionally, while Nolan subtly introduced Robin, he didn’t push him into the limelight with a costume or force the character upon us. Although I’m not a huge Robin fan, I respect his role in Batman’s world, and I think Nolan handled his inclusion perfectly.

I'm sure I have more, but I got to run. You guy's are going to make me late for the day sitting here trying to rack my brain. :laugh: ;)
