-It’s not as simple as not blowing the two first rounders. Unless it’s an absolute no brainer that fell to them, they need to parlay the picks into future premium picks by trading down. If they simply make the picks where they fall, chances are the return is one bust and one good player not nearly as good as Parsons.

-Spend the money you saved on Parsons by signing quality outside free agents that teams can’t afford to keep. Don’t earmark it for players already here that we know can’t get the job done just because you know them. Put the effort in.

If this is handled correctly, this roster can be rebuilt quickly, maybe even set them up to draft the next QB.

Let’s see what the two clowns do with the opportunity, but at least the chance is suddenly there.

Rooting against GB just made the season exciting at least.

Please give your thoughts. :flagwave:

I love all of this! Really good plan of action.

Having 4 1st round picks the next 2 years is a lot of ammo.

So, we keep Mazi, trade their best player for a below average player who is on the decline, has a foot injury, and may be the third or fourth best DL and two picks probably between 28 - 32 in 2026 and 2027?

For this season, this is Clark for Parsons, don’t see how anyone can be happy with this. IMO, this is one of the darkest days in Cowboys history, maybe second only to Jimmy being let go, or the playoff loss to GB two years ago.

This is an Eagles style move that fans beg for. Then when it happens they whine. The human condition.
This was not an Eagle's style move. Not even close. This was GM malpractice. If you are going to trade a Parsons you do it in March, not two weeks before game 1.

Free agency is over. Arlington Jonesboys are playing for the Arches.

Trading Parsons was flat out Jerry Dumbo GM Jones Stupid.

Can this team make the playoffs the next 3 years?

I respect that point of view, but if you’re looking at this coming season alone, you’re dealing from strength (edge rush) and adding to a major weakness.

They weren’t winning this year with or without Parsons.

Your plan sounds reasonable. However, since we are run by a baboon nothing good will come of this

Eagles would have gotten 2 real first round picks and much more.
Not 2 very high 2nd rounders. And in the end as good as Green Bay looks this will be the result.

This was definitely not about this year.

Obviously I’m fine with the trade but the two clowns need to pull it together and at least get on the same page.

Jerry says he signed Dak because he wants to win now, then this happens. They have to come up with some sort of a plan beyond one getting his way one time, then other….

My guess, as I posted this morning, was that things really did get beyond repair.

Adding to a weakness? What are you talking about? GB is rejoicing, as are our division rivals, as we add a below average DL, who probably isn’t even the second best DL on his new team?

But we keep Mazi???

And the two picks are in April 2026 and April 2027, and might be so high that part of the draft might only be second and third round talent?

Clark turns 30 in October. Micah is in him prime now!

You can get great value for a RB at the end of round 1.

I don’t trust Harry and Lloyd to parlay this into anything but failure. That’s a lot of ammo to go get a top QB but the newly signed Dak overrides that scenario.

Impossible to argue against any of this…not that I’d ever consider it.

I don't trust Barnum and Bailey to get it done. That's the only hang up.

They need to be in position where failure is impossible. The only thing that guarantees that is more premium draft picks. Trade Prescott and Diggs for more picks and then let the Gambler roll the dice.

How about trading up for Manning
