Empyrion - Galactic Survival is a 3D open world space sandbox survival adventure. At least by everything I have read Empyrion has more content and replayability, and all this for the low price of 9.99 until Monday the 22nd{after it will be 19.99}.

I really dislike "early access" games. They are basically kickstarter 2.0 games. Even when the game companies deliver the game they promised, by the time it's released, the game is usually 1-2 years old for most of the people playing it.

Game developers have used and screwed over their supporters so much, that most people I know now won't even check out a game until it's released now.

I agree to a point, having Steam as a platform has given many "developers" a chance to make a game that otherwise wouldn't have happened in the brick and mortar days and sadly a good percentage of them turn out to be unfinished or just plain junk or both. No mans sky has about a 53% user rating score from about 47,000 users while Empyrion Galactic survival has about a 85% rating from about 5,000 users. For 10 bucks{while on sale}its a steal, especially if you like the genre.

After playing it for a while, I'm already done.

Elite Dangerous beats this in every way for me, future updates to ED have me excited. The planetary stuff isn't as imaginative, but I get a much better sense of exploration and depth from Elite Dangerous. Great lore, and beautiful gameplay. Playing ED in my Oculus Rift is absolutely awesome.

Star Citizen is up next. I hope it lives up to it's potential.
