What Non-WR 1st pick would upset you?

It's obvious that WR is a priority for the Cowboys.
If Tet or Golden is available at 12 but they decide to go with the another position, what player would upset you if they go a different avenue?
I guess it comes down to which positions are deep and ones they feel they won't have a chance to get in the 2nd or 3rd.
Whoever they pick at 12 (assuming he lives up to where he's drafted), that means they are going to miss out on the top players at other positions of need. Pick a CB, then you'll miss out on the top WR (Probably, can't see Golden or Tet passing to #44, but stranger things have happened)., DT or OL. Pick DT and there goes the realistic chance to get a top WR, RB or CB. Any way you go, you're still short at multiple positions of need.

And make no mistake about it, Dallas has to draft for need, there's so many. Normally you don't draft just for need or just BPA, it needs to be a mixture. There are exceptions, the 1977 Cowboys needed a better RB and picked Dorsett, and the rest is history. In 1989 they needed a QB,and picked Aikman. Again, history proved that was the right way to go. Need picks both.

But this team needs at least 3 first round picks to really get this team to improve a lot. Obviously, you aren't getting 3 first round picks, so as long as they get a bona fide high-level starter with the 12th selection, I'm good, whether it's WR, CB or whoever they need...

Sure, would anybody complain if he was guaranteed to be another Travis Kelce? Stats are as good as most any receiver in the league, Kelce's just a big WR, basically, despite what he's listed as on the roster.

But for goodness' sake, get a real football player who had production in college....

The face palm thing is so juvenile. Especially seeing that you have no answer.

Stud DTs get you in the super bowl. That's how this works, unless you're a numbbrain, I guess.
So are you saying if the Cowboys had Jalen Carter last year, they would have been in the Super Bowl? :muttley: :muttley: :muttley:OMG

They need to draft SMART, hard-working players who love football. Stop drafting knuckle-draggers.

If they pick at 12 I would be disappointed with OG, C, QB, TE, S, or inside LBer. I am OK with OT, DE, WR, DT, CB, Edge LBer

The only thing that would upset me is taking a WR or RB. Those are just not positions we need this high in the draft. We have a legit #1 WR and finding a "Robin" for CD's Batman at #12 makes no sense. But this is Jerry Jones so it wouldn't surprise me.

The draft is deep at RB as well so no point picking a RB at 12 either. We NEED a DT. We NEED a LB. We NEED a CB. We NEED OL help. There will be lots of choices at those positions at 12.
Huh?? We don't need a RB or WR? LOL

Mpre juvenile crapp. Can you even post w/o those childish little thingies?

No one is saying DT's is all it takes. What I'm saying is that you won't make it w/o them.

There, is that clear enough?

Nothing this team does upsets me anymore. I am apathetic to every move they make because it is going to be pointless anyway even if it is a Hall of Fame player they pick. They won't sniff a championship either.

A running back....

Because it would show that they simply can't learn feom their own history, nor feom other teams history.

Jeanty is not in the class of Bjan Robinson. Where are the Falcons?

Jeanty isn't Saquon Barkley. What did Saquon do for a bad Giants team? He only made a huge difference once he joined a team with one of the best rosters top to bottom in league history. We don't have that. WE need to do what the Eagles did: build the trenches until you can dominate both lines of scrimmage, THEN add the final pieces lime a RB here or a LB or safety there. DONT EAT DESSERT UNTIL YOU'VE EATEN THE MEAT AND TATERS!!!!

We have a team in our own freaking division giving us the blueprint for success!!!! But watch Jerry TRADE UP for Jeanty.

Jeanty will be twice as productive as Robinson. Drafting Zeke was not the problem. Giving him a second deal was the problem!
