Let's see....Fergie, Matt Baker, Sean Ryan. Possibly Davis and/or Reeves. This could be quite a list.

And Junior Glymph

Walker is going to have microfracture surgery on his knee. That is a step above being knicked up, which is Roy Williams problem. Williams is not only younger and more talented, he is less of a injury risk. Just get the better player.

*SLAP NYC 2X* That fat lazy underachiever still put up SEVEN sacks in 2007. And he is still young, and would be part of a rotation with the Cowboys anyway. Change of scenery did Davis a ton of good, why not Rogers.

The point is to put pressure on opposing offenses. Spears, Ayodele cannot do that and the 3rd rounder is a crap shoot anyway, especially if it is a NT.
Supposedly Shanahan thinks he may need microfracture surgery in 4 or 5 years. He doesn't need any right now so why care? If they were worried about years in advance they never would have traded for Terry Glenn who had those kind of knee problems then and is looking at microfracture at some point this year or next.

Anyone get a kick out of watching little cowboys farm teams popping up throughout the league? First New Orleans, and now Miami.

Looking at your Sig. I hope we get S. Springs also.....that is all

Might as well keep Reeves instead of getting Florence. Might be cheaper. I personally would draft a cb instead of messing with the FA average cb club.

I think we need to draft a CB at #22. We will need two CB. I do not want Reeves back and don't think he or N. Jones will be back. So the other would have to come from FA or the draft. I don't know if Florence is the answer but Wade and Stewart are familiar with him.

Would't shock me to see Hoyte there by the end of the day either.

True. If BP thought enough of him to move him to offense to keep on the roster, I can see him in Miami.

Why would anyone give up a draft pick for Javon Walker? He needs surgery, he has a roster bonus of $5 million due March 5th, the Broncos are not going to pay that bonus meaning they will release him, so why trade.

Let Denver release him and sign him to a wait and see contract with incentives to see if he is able to play.

If Jerry thinks Walker is a WOW player, then he has lost his mind. One article out of Denver stated that one of the Bronco doctors didn't think that Walker chance to play ever again were more than 50-50.

My take, DON'T bother with him. Get a Bryant Johnson instead.

I'm not afraid of spending a 6th on a vet with some upside like Walker provided we do our homework on him medically and its not just a stupid move.

This bit about getting Miami's high 6th so we can trade our 5th for Walker is somebody wanting to over think this IMO. While you certainly want all the draft picks you can get there's no magic in having a pick in every round.

Having said all that, I am skeptical of this Walker deal. It just feels strange to think about giving up a 6th to let Walker and Glenn compete for the disabled WR position. I can't imagine them both being on the roster because it leaves little room for the future beyond TO, Glenn, Walker & Crayton. Not saying it can't happen, I just think its unlikely.

If Dallas trades for Walker I would suspect it will be after Walker agrees to a different contract unless this knee thing is really overblown. Lets face it folks, we on the internet know nothing definitive about the guy's knee.

Where is this article you speak of?

I would love to see this.

If he can't pass a physical the Broncos wouldn't even be trying to trade him. They would either put him on IR or release him injured and still have to pay him a good chunck of his salary.

The Walker deal all depends on that 5 million he is due in March. If Dallas has to pay it, then there is no need to do the trade.

So... I do wonder, what gives in regards to the other wrs (besides Crayton and TO) we do have.

Hurd, Stanbeck, Glen, Miles.

If we add Walker and draft a highly drafted WR, somebody has to go.

Glen already seems like he could be gone regardless of what JJones says. And they are very high on Stanbeck so... not sure if they cut Miles and Hurd, but it would look that way.

Hurd, Crayton, and Miles are all scrubs. Crayton is a serviceable 3rd wideout but he couldnt carry either one of the 2nd or 3rd wideouts from the patriots. Stanback, I reserve judgement on because he has all the natural abilities along with the instincts to play the position well unlike the other 3 who lack in some way or form.

I say go all out this season. I want to see TO lined up with Roy Williams, Javon Walker and Witten with a single back formation with Barber in the backfield.

ESPN reporting that Denver has released Javon Walker. Good, don't have to spend a draft pick and probably sign him to a incentive contract.

there was never any chance we would trade, or any other team would trade for walker with a roster bonus due. now you can see if he is healthy and if so work a deal without having to pay that roster bonus. i don't see a huge market for him as some teams may shy away from th knee's and attitude stuff.

If Denver would have kept him, I bet you the Commanders would have gone after him. I live in the area and all the talka is about bringing in a big name big WR.
