Okay.. lets say a player has dropped was projected higher and available at say 15..

Dayton Ohio's(okay a burb-Centerville)**** AJ Hawk
D'Brick
Vince Young(I'm still not sure the sort of QB he'll develop to be, but I think he can develop to a very good QB if given the time)
I would make a move on him. Especially Hawk - if he moved to within 5 picks of me, I would make a move.

I think I'd move up for Hawk further than 15. The kid is a heat seeking missile who loves football.

I'm high on his linemate in your avatar, but I'd imitate a Grammatica brother if we could land Hawk.

I'd much rather have Hawk than Carpenter. I figure that it will just cost too much to move up to get into position to get AJ. How high would you be willing to go? I'm sure I'll catch the ire of the Longhorn fans, but I think he's a much better prospect coming out than DJ was last year. But IMO, after watching all the Buckeye games I could this season that #42 will be more of the leader type on D. Similar to Dat in that respect. He's just a fiery guy. I think he's got more range than Dat. But I would definately keep him on the outside, some have talked about moving him inside.

I think I'd move up as high as 12 to get Hawk.

I like him better than DJ too because I think he is a surer tackler. The thing I loved about DJ was the penchant for the big play. Hawk has that but as a better all around tackler. In truth I think he is the LB I have liked best since probably Derrick Thomas. That's going back a ways.

I would move up quite a bit to get Vince Young.

Huff would also be a great person to grab moving up several spots.

P.S. Im not a Texas fan

With Parcells window of opportunity closing, he may move up to get a Hawk or Ngata, and maybe even a QB.

I just wouldn't be surprised if Parcells convinced JJ that we are this close from being in the SB, and make a play for one of these stud defenders or even a QB.

As far as I'm concerned, if you think you've found that rare player, then if you need to trade some next year picks to do it, then do it. Next year, what player is out there that will be life changing? And hopefully you're picking in the latter part of the 1st round, meaning you are a contender for the SB.

I'm not so sure about moving up for a LB there are always one to four potential stud Linebackers that come out every year. Some will pan out and some won't. This year if Linebacker is a neen in the 1st Round I drop down some, get an extra pick and take Bobby Carpenter. LInebackers even back in the Brian Bosworth days (the BOZ) will many times never live up to their billing. I might move up to select Brickshaw but even than it would depend on what I had to give up.

I wouldn't move up to get anybody in the 1st round, but I would move up to get Omar Jacobs in the top of the 2nd round. I believe he's more polished than either Young or Cutler and would be a darn sight less expensive.
