Complete New secondary and new MLB. I am not going to say pass rush because we had a stacked pass rush for years and it didn’t do any good in the playoffs.

2 lbs fast quick dissecting ones who are very high iq with left and right tackles and a safety and corner. Seems to me a two season rebuild coming.

Last season the coaching on defense was so bad, combined with a lot of injuries, it’s difficult for me to tell what positions really need to be addressed or if it was coaching/injuries.

Definitely LB, CB, and S on defense.

On offense they badly need a starting RT maybe a starting LT too, as well as RB, WR depth, and at least one TE.

What a mess JJ created by trying to trick Parsons into signing a bad contract, throwing a tantrum and trading him, then insisting on having Fluss as the defensive coordinator.

Those 3 are paramount and trump everything else. And I'm not saying we need ultra studs, just good solid player. Never thought I'd miss Bradie James. He wasn't great, but he was solid, never out of place, and never got hurt. He got any sons?

I'm curious. We have a gaping hole at S. Why do people think we need corners more? I mean, we have a serviceable Bland and a good looking young CB in Revel. Why is CB continuously being stated as the 1st or 2nd need? Serious question.

I think there are multiple ways to go about it, especially on defense. You can either go get several average players (1 Edge, 1+LB, 2+ secondary players) and probably field a decent defense in addition to what you already have. The other way to go about it is to go get another elite level defender that you can create mismatches with like a Maxx Crosby type. Getting multiple players on your DL that require consistent double teams gives you so much more flexibility to gamble on cheaper players at other positions.

Offensively I think another tackle to come in and compete with the guys we already have is a must as well.

To be fair, our CBs can never stay healthy so it always ends up being a need. But yeah, Safety is a bigger need right now.

It’s a good question K. For years you and I have talked about being mystified by this FO’s complete dismissal of the safety position. If you have a great one it is HUGE. We haven’t even tried to get one.
