What real hope is there as long as Jerry's around?

Well, Jerry, you got your wish. Everyone's talking about the Dallas Cowboys. Except, I don't think you like what they're saying. Well, bub, you'd better listen, because you brought all this on yourself, and your fans. You're the one who wanted to turn the Cowboys into a circus. Now you have a real freak show going. Take a bow, you old fool.

Character doesn't matter, does it Jerry? Owens has his one hundred first tantrum, dance around your office over the media frenzy it created. The punk CB from the Titans you brought in to help turn his life around gets drunk & beats up on the body guard hired to protect him from himself? Hey, bring him back for an encore. You have enough high character players to offset the resentment it created.

Me-O brings our bright, hard working, but sensitive All-Pro TE who has broken every Cowboys record at his position into a soap opera. Hey, he's a professional. It won't effect his play. Neither will it affect your franchise QB that Owens has begun to alienate. It won't even make any waves with half of the defensive players who have taken Owens side. Everyone says it's because Owens wants to win so badly, that he wants the ball. Take a look at the Thanksgiving game against the Seahawks. Romo throws the ball to Witten in the end zone for the third TD of the game. You can see TO with his arms at his sides walking away from Witten. Roy Williams, who's further from Witten than TO, runs towards Witten with his index finger raised. Even though we had gone way ahead of another team, Owens still pouted because the ball went to Witten instead of him. No jealousy??!

Yeah, Cowboys fans, we have a real dilemma here. Where I live in NE Ohio, the owner is about to fire the head coach & GM for a poor performance by the Browns this season. Our dilemma is that the biggest problem facing the Dallas Cowboys is the owner. Can't fire the jerk. Well, we can only hope when he finally dies, his son will have better common sense than his dad. What do we do in the mean time?

I say this with all due respect...we have no hope as a franchise until Jerry passes off the scene.

My only hope is that every once in a while even a blind squirrel finds a nut.

Sorry, but that's all I've got.

I am very near quiting this franchise until Jerry is gone. I know the loss is fresh now so I will try not to make a brash statement. However, I can gurantee you I will not attend a Cowboys game or by gear until Jerry steps down as GM, others should do the same.

Kinda agree...say what you want about Jerry, but he is going to keep talent on this roster. We are going to have a shot more times than not.

Too bad it also takes coaching and team chemistry. Two things Jerry knows nothing about.

All of you are crazy for even saying that we have no hope as long as JJ is around....if you HONESTLY feel that way, you may as well find another team, becuase this is HIS team and he isn't stepping down from ANY position that he has.

HE isn't the reason this team falters.....HE is not on the field. The only thing that he really has control over is the coaching staff and the players that are brought in here.

Personally, I like the personell that we have on this team except for a couple of position on the o-line and that is about it.

Whine and cry all that you want.....but, I'll take this personnel over alot of other teams right now.

I just hope that we improve a couple of positions on the o-line as well as fix the coaching.....but I'm not going to whine and cry over JJ....it's U.S.E.L.E.S.S.!!!!

Jerry the owner/businessman? Plenty of hope. Jerry the football guy? Snyderesque.

Right, but players and coaches can do that. I don't care if Jerry is pulling strings. He's not in the locker room every day.

No, he's just the man who runs the show. How can any coach have a chance when Jones encourages the inmates running the asyllem. What does Wade say after JJ goes on the air and gets excited about a player attacking his position coach on the sideline, pitting players against each other, and pouting when he doesn't get the ball..........after a win????!!!

Jones determines which players come to Dallas. Lately, he has gone out of his way to bring in the bottom of the barrel when it comes to character. If you don't think that matters, I give you todays' game as evidence.

A coach can get in a player's face and hold him responsible, every day. Jerry Jones doesn't see every player every day. A coach needs to have enough balls to be authoritative, regardless of who is playing.

Jones loads this team with talent...say what you want about character, I'm not arguing.

But on the field these "bottom of the barrel when it comes to character guys" play as hard as anybody. T.O. and Pacman play their butts off. Say what you want about Pacman, but his mistakes come from trying to do to much. Not from being lazy, or stupid, just trying to do to much.

Yeah, you're right. This personnel is so good, it had only one game to win to get into the playoffs, and it.......got its a** kicked royal. The players had no passion, the defense got rolled for the second game in a row, and the offense once again had multiple turnovers.

Besides, the head coach's arms are tied when the owner jumps up and down with excitement over internal strife like the latest Owen's incident. Owens is slowly tearing down the chemistry of this team by infecting other players with his paranoia. Players are taking sides against each other. As the bible says, "A house divided against itself will never stand".

Is that all? He's only responsible for the coaching staff and the personnel?

I guess you're right then, he has virtually no say in the operation at all. :laugh2:
