Our multi time pro bowl starting QB was out and injured for most of the year and never got in real playing shape again.

Our multi time pro bowl starting TE was injured most of the year and was never in real playing shape.

Our pro bowl starting RB was out and injured at the end of the year and was never ready to play again.

Our number one pick in the draft backup RB was out almost the entire year with injury.

Our starting guard was out for most of the season.

Our backup guard was out at the end of the year.

Our multi time pro bowl punter was out for the second half of the year.

Our receiver depth (3,4,and5th) was all injured most of the year.

Our multi time pro bowl Safety was out for most of the year.

And this is not even all of it.

Now in saying this I also think our coaching staff failed this team ..... but if we had not been decimated by injuries at crucial positions we would have easily strolled into the playoffs.

This team needs a hard *** for a coach .... but not a scared conservative one like Parcells ...... but a hard *** that goes for the throat.

Anyway ..... thats it.

Injuries certainly hurt. As did mental errors. Defensive breakdowns. Poor O-Line play. Bad playcalling. Bad coaching. Poor tackling. Dropped balls. Poorly ran routes. The works.

It's not just one or two things it's a multitude of things and I didn't even hit nearly all of them in that list.

After the Buchalter catch and run, the team laid down like dogs. Pretty disheartening when a god awful Raider team and organization went in Tampa with nothing to play for and knocked em outta the playoffs.

ah this must be the excuse thread.

One of the many. It's no better, or worse, than the hundreds of other attempting to blame just Wade, or just Jerry, or just Garrett, or just Romo, or just TO.

Injuries were a part. Turnovers were a bigger part. And our inability to make teams pay a heavy-enough price for blitzing Romo.

Of all the injuries listed I wish I could accurately measure the impact of losing Kosier & then Holland. The games all blur together but my recollection is that we were a much more effective offense with one of those in the game at RG.

I slightly disagree.

It doesn't matter whether a head coach is conservative or not. The team simply needs a head coach who can win with ANY type of coaching philosophy. Conservative coaching may bore the heck out of some fans, but if a team can win with it, there isn't any reason to exclude a coaching prospect because of it either.

That's a valid argument....if no other teams had injuries. How many players on the Ravens went on IR? How about the steelers o-line and running backs?

Let's hope that Romo and co. were playing at 50% down the stretch, otherwise were in for a long 2009.

The Cowboys injury problems weren't that bad.

All but a couple of starters played yesterday. Every team has injuries.

This excuse is a fail.

Injuries did hurt. Romo in particular. No Romo injury and we are all pretty excited today about our chances to make a run.

However, it is a mentally soft team that gets discouraged by injuries. We showed that toughness against TB. We showed it against NY as well. Unfortunately we got soft at times and that seemed to spiral.

Wow ....... Romo and Witten were playing on grit alone.

Some of you guys are unbelievable.

We were more or less healthy yesterday save for strong safety and left guard. Playing backups at those two positions does not explain a 44-6 wipeout, especially with so much on the line. The next thing you know, people will be blaming the Bucs for motivating Philly.

We had about an average # of injuries.
Quit making excuses.
