What record will Dallas need when Zeke returns

If we lose to the Gmen and the Chargers, we don’t deserve the playoffs. SD would have to travel east on a really short week and play? We should take this one, I hope?

We really need the Oline these 6 weeks to carry us. We can expect lower scores from the O but we need to grind it out like never before.

If they can go 4-2 they can get to 10-6 to finish the year and if they have wins over Atlanta, Seattle maybe that will help them in a tie breaker scenario.

I am personally rooting for the rams to win the west so that if Dallas is in a wild card tie break situation late in the year they can control their own destiny by beating Seattle.

And who knows the philly game may mean nothing to them and they may play backups like we did

I hope some of you guys who follow this team will go back and really study the psyche of this team
especially when pressured. If Dak has to carry this team and defenses come after him hard, he will
struggle and has shown it in some games. If the defense starts giving up runs the pass opens up
like a wall under humpty dumpty. This team will struggle without Zeke cause it has to have a great
running game to compete. The coaching staff looks like deer caught in the headlights when things
go against their game plan. All in all, I fear that we may be lucky to win 2 games out of the next 6.

It looks like 10-6 may be the worst record to have to secure at least a Wild Card spot.
The Rams loss may play a big factor in determining the Cowboys playoff eligibility.
So I think 2 losses at most during Zeke's absence is needed.
4 of the next 6 if they want the East...3 of 3 for the wild card.

4-2 is the target for me. 3-3 may sink us. Meaning 8-5 leaves us in the hunt but 7-6 means we need to win out and it will take Zeke a game or two to get back on track.
Win Cheifs (Down to the last second win or bigtime loss)
Loss Falcons (Julio and Freeman eat us up)
Win Eagles (Need this game)
Win Chargers (Easiest win)
Win Skins (Hard to sweep but they might be packing it in by then)
Loss Giants (Dak struggles against them)

The Chargers are not a pushover and that is NOT the easiest game on the schedule.

They can't sit there and count W-Ls and think oh, 3-3 will get it done and that getting Elliott back would cure any ills.

They have to micromanage every week and every opponent. This might be a time where Garrett's stacking good days on top of other good days and concentrating on doing our very best today to get better approach can keep the perspective in line.

All I know is that we will really know a lot about the coaching after these next six weeks are done. A successful run without Elliott would speak volumes about their ability to handle adversity and adjust. That is half the battle with coaching as nobody is going to simply out talent everyone.

If we go 3-3 I'll consider it a success. Think we might lose the first 3 and win the next 3.

...I'm with those that say..."just win the next one!"...a 6 game stretch without Eze will be difficult...going 3-3 wouldn't be to shabby....I do hope that McFadden
uses those fresh legs; and of course the Defense must play well!...Go Cowboys...:flagwave:

The Panthers aren't going 10-6. GB isn't going 10-6. None of the 3-4 or worse teams are going 10-6. That leaves Seattle/LA/Atlanta/NO as the real threats to a wild card.

One of Sea/LA and Atl/NO will win the division, so it'll only be two teams to worry about (not sure which yet). We should hope LA takes the West since we lose a tie breaker with them. Seattle and Atlanta we face directly, so those games will be huge. Atlanta also plays Seattle, Minnesota, and the Saints twice.

I'd say it's likely 9-7 could get a wild card, depending on tie breakers.

Well when Zeke comes back there will be three games left...............we are 4-3 currently

So if 9-7 is the minimum for a wildcard, we have to have atleast 6 wins with 3 games left...........of course this assumes we win all three, which one can debate is realistic but as for as the math works out, that is what we need at the bare minimum.

So 2-4 while Zeke is gone is survivable, if we can win our remaining three games and if all we need is a 9-7 record.......a lot of ifs in this statement.

You may be numerically correct but you have to take other factors into consideration

If we lose the next 3 team morale will be very very low and I doubt we win the next 3

I hope that we play KC tough and then beat Atlanta (who we should beat) then play the eagles and even if we lose it might not be the end of the world because the next 3 will be very winnable games

I think it comes down to whether the coaching staff can keep the morale of the players up and whether Dak, OL and defense can come to play

We are in trouble if we are depending on our coaches
