What running back do you want to see the Cowboys draft

LeQuint Allen, Syracuse just declared for this years draft.

If the Cowboys don't get a RB in the top 3 rounds I would look at him.

He runs a little to upright, kind of like Mcfadden but the guy really punishes opposing tacklers and is a great receiver out of the backfield.

Cowboys already have their "thunder" at RB in Rico Dowdle. What they lack is their "lightning". Cowboys need another Tony Pollard type of RB. Need speed and quickness. This 2024 season proved as much.

Look no further than SMU's ex-speedyWR-turned-RB in Brashard Smith...

Brashard Smith: 5'11", 195 lbs, 4.41 40 yard dash. Ex-WR and Special Teams return specialist who has speed, quickness, great catch and run ability, excellent hands, swivelly hips, great juking ability, excellent burst, etc. Another Tony Pollard / Isaiah Pacheco type of RB who is a dual threat type of playmaker at RB who can hurt opposing defenses both with the run and pass.

Cowboys should trade down TWICE in the 1st round. Trade from #12 down to around #20 while picking up a late 2nd round pick. Then trade down again into the late #20s while picking up a late 3rd or early 4th round pick.

Use either the late 3rd or early 4th round pick (whichever we get) to draft Brashard Smith. Perfect compliment to our RB threat.

Jarquez Hunter from Auburn
Yessir, Hunter is a 5th round RB I want to be RB2 or RB3 because he does play STs. Also, he accelerates thru the hole and finishes run violently, also good hands.

I know rumors are rumors but what is the feeling about trading for Breece Hall? Would never give up a 3rd and we don't have a 4th but this has been over the internet the last couple of days.
I wouldn't trade for Hall with this good of a class coming up, heck, I don't even want to re-sign Rico, but you do need at least one vet. NYJets drafted Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis, 2 RBs Dallas had interest in last year. So, just the Cowboys need to do what the Jets did last year and double up.
