First of all, I don't see a pass rushing DE worthy of the #4 pick in this draft which is kind've sad because we are in need one of one. and I'm almost certain the draft goes Tunsil, Wentz and Ramsey in some order before us.

So If we take out the 2 DE's (Bosa & Buckner)

that leaves us with the following realistic choices;

Jared Goff, QB:I would much rather take a franchise QB then a so-so DE anyday of the week.
Myles Jack, LB:Jack is an interesting player, and would be a nice addition to the front 7.
Ezekiel Elliott, RB: I really like this player alot, the signing of Morris imo all but eliminates a RB at #4.
Laquon Treadwell, WR: Nice player, I dont see us going WR in any scenario at #4
Ronnie Stanley, OT nice OL, Our OL doesn't warrant an OL this high in the draft
Vernon Hargreaves, CB: although a need on this team especially if we are planning on cutting Carr, but i dont feel Vernon is the 4th best player in this draft.

So if the team was to feel the same way I do about this scenario, that would leave us with a choice of Goff or Jack. I like both players, I don't like the fact that Jack is coming off an injury.

ultimately if it were up to me, unless a nice trade down offer was made, i would have to pick Goff or Jack.

your thoughts....

What should happen is a personal thing. How about what will the brass do. That's a better question. Are we trying to win now by getting a prime player (not at QB) or go into the season with what we got and without a starting 1st round pick but setup to be in the winning conversation in 2-3 years?

If it were up to me, yes, I am going QB all the way, especially if Wentz is there.

I'm coming around to wanting Goff. smh. Luckily he can sit and learn because there is no way he would be ready day 1 like people think he will be coming from that college offense he played in. I'll be happy with him at 4 and hope my thoughts about him were wrong............................but if Ramsey is there I take Ramsey and take Cook round 2.

basically in my above scenario, it comes down to Goff or Jack. are you onboard with Goff also?

Yes. Not sure if Dallas is.

Obviously you want the two to match.

They seem to be more intrigued by Lynch.

I think QB is the way to go if we like one of the two and they are there. I think we could consider Jack if it falls the way you see it. Trade down would be the obvious preference if QB or Ramsey are off the board but I think that if both QBs are gone before we pick, then Ramsey will be there.

In my honest opinion....what would this team do, given my scenario, either a trade down or Bosa, which i would hope the trade down over Bosa.

Sounds like Wentz will be gone.

Just take the best player left and let the coaches earn their money making use of the best talent we can possibly acquire. I really hate the idea of certain players being undraftable by the Cowboys because a coach doesn't value their positions.

My preference and I only have 4 choices at pick 4.

1 Goff
2.Wentz
3.Ramsey.
4.Bosa

that leaves us with the following realistic choices;

Joey Bosa

So if the team was to feel the same way I do about this scenario, that would leave us with a choice of Joey Bosa or Joey Bosa. I like both players because they are in fact the same guy.

Yes, I agree with your assessment.

One month out and the chalk scenario still is seeing that Cowboys logo switch to another team's while we're on the clock and everybody frantically asking what we got.

QB, or QB in that order and I'm a person who does like both Bosa and Ramsey. I personally prefer Goff's quick release and accuracy behind the Cowboy's offensive line, but would be thrilled with Wentz as well. You have an opportunity to take a franchise QB with the #4 pick and that simply trumps every other need. There's going to be some good DBs and defensive linemen available in the 2nd and 3rd rounds, but there's not going to be a thing left at QB. The time is now.

Simple, it MUST be the QB . If not, there is no plan In place at THE MOST important spot on the roster

There are several people that don't think either QB would be worthy of a top 15 pick in most years.

Not saying I feel that way but just passing that on.

In other words, if Bosa is not a #4 pick worthy pass rusher, the same rule should probably apply to other positions.

Personally, I think between 2-4 QBs from this class will end up having decent careers.

I also think there's a > 50% chance (especially if Bosa is gone) that they move down slightly and cash in on an extra early round pick while still getting what they want.

I'm thinking that in Marinelli's system, Bosa would be a very good addition. He would be solid from the start, and grow with his rushing skills. Two seasons, and he should be a very strong and powerful rusher. That creates penetration and pressure.
