What should Pollard’s role look like (question 10 of 20)

Pollard should be used similar to how SF uses Deebo Samuel. Probably a little less as a WR and more in the run game but certainly having him catching 4 to 6 balls a game.

15 total touches per game.

As far as Zeke, STOP with the "overall back" nonsense. Thats a Zeke apologist cop out.

ONLY think Zeke does better is pick up the blitz. Pollard is better at running and catching the ball. Which is what backs are paid to do. Let Zeke play FB if you want want a blocking back.

You wear down defenses by dominating them and making plays in the run game. Zeke doesnt do that consistently anymore. Nobody is scared of zeke. At this point, if he is starting, they are probably licking their chops.

Pollard is actually the guy out there breaking more tackles and taking it to the defense.

No he should not get more carries than Zeke. He has HR potential, but he can't wear down a defense like Zeke can. Think Barkley, has he ever worn down a defense? That is what you get in Pollard but not as good.
Zeke still has that long run threat, for when defenses are worn down. He may still have it even if they aren't worn down.
We will see what happens.

When he condenses the players into stacked & bunched sets, he wants to test if the defense will play disciplined towards the boundaries allowing for crossing routes to get separation. Only problem, he does it too much & gets exposed. Wish Moore was gone!

Pollard is a really good change of pace RB. That's where his role will remain. Once Zeke can't produce anymore, Pollard will have his shot. But remember, RBs are the one position where it's easy to find/replace.

I think he will do more than just share The running load with Zeke
He’s a playmaker and you need to get the ball in his hands in space
I think his touches will be about the same pace as last year in the run game but more touches in passing game
Till he hurt his foot he and Zeke were near 50/50 in touches in the run game

Yah, but in the 2nd half when games were closer and more important, Pollard got less and less. The playoff game he almost got nothing.
