What should they do at number 2 receiver?

You guys are sick.

I would pass on getting another wide receiver in the 1st or 2nd round of draft. Let's see what dallas has right now and go ahead and draft Jeanty since Dallas desparately needs a running back to help relieve some of the pressure on Dak.

Did you forget how the defense played last year?

The Cowboys should go defense with their first three picks. They won't but they should.
Locking in a 2 receiver and a top running back on rookie contracts would be a good way to go.

Agree. I think people are in love with Matthew Goldens 40 time. IMO I think Luther Burden is far an away a superior player. That being said, McMillan or Egbuka should be their targets.
McMillin, burden, egbuka are my top 3. My preference for McMillan is hope he compliments Lamb. Golden is my 4th abd I wouldn’t take him at 12. He was why I said don’t get caught up in 40 times. Production is key

Simple. Sign a PROVEN VETERAN player - bust out that fat wallet and quit acting your gonna be eating ramen 'til June.

Draft a high end Wr in the draft no matter what!

So if you think it is too much to sign one of these free agent WRs AND draft a wr in 1st or 2nd round, then don't sign the free agent

I personally think we could sign a free agent, but it should be for the right price because we are in fact drafting one high
I don't wanna be counting on ANY rookie WR to keep the heat off Dak-Ceedee Connection. Dak needs a viable second option post haste. Keenan Allen at $10-12MM/yr would be a reasonable insurance policy on a $60MM/yr investment.

Yeah that is fine. I am looking beyond this year as well though. So Keenan Allen or whomever. Draft TMac or Ebuka. Although they would see plenty of first year play, definitely ready to take over after that.

I have no confidence Mingo is the answer. We had him half the season and he did virtually nothing. It’s no wonder Carolina wanted to dump him.
I hope you feel the same way about Ferguson. When Dak went out Schoonmaker out played him. Let Mingo play with Dak before we judge.

Simple money based issue. Draft positions that are the most highly valued in the salary cap structure.....buy the lesser valued positions

WR is heavy favorite in the first round. I don’t watch college so I dunno if any of those guys outside of McMillan are worth it at 12.

The Penn St tight end might be an intriguing option. Either way, we desperately need more playmaking on offense.

A big decision is coming at number 2 receiver. As of today it looks like they have several options.

1. Sign Keenan Allen. This would cost them some money. Maybe 12 to 15 million a year on a 2 year deal.

2. Trade for Courtland Sutton. Maybe they could trade pick 12 for Sutton and pick 20. They then would have Sutton and could draft their running back and the do have the cap space to sign Sutton to a multi year deal.

3. Draft Tet McMillan, or Emeka Egbuka, or Golden. This puts the 2 spot on the shoulders of a rookie.

4. Sign Tyler Lockett and still draft a rookie.
My thoughts: Start with #1 so you don't go into the draft having to force WR unless you love at least 3 of these guys because you never know how the draft will fall and mocks are not an indicator of what actual NFL teams will do. I think Allen gets closer to 2 years $20M and I'd lock him up right now for that. I don't like Courtland Sutton anywhere near enough to make that trade for him AND give him a big contract next year as his contract is up after this year, So you pay him or you rented him for a year. That would be nuts IMO. Absolutely draft McMillan if he is on the board at 12. I'd pass on the other two unless they really love one of them and this is why you sign Allen so you don't feel the pressure to force the move. If McMillan is there we all of a sudden have one of and potentially the best receiving core. No way on Lockett. He isn't even a #3 at the point IMO. We don't need another bottom of the roster WR.

I think they have cornered themselves into taking one early in the draft. Probably the best option.

DT is deep the team has many needs. They need Wr2 and RB just as bad the only way I go defense is 3rd round on unless your blue chippers at RB and WR are gone and blue chippers on defense fall in to your lap

With osa resign and Mazi improvement ( apparently) I just don’t see early DT. Maybe if Scourton falls into their lap at 44 for DE but I think they like Williams and kneeland as the future
