What should they do at number 2 receiver?

A big decision is coming at number 2 receiver. As of today it looks like they have several options.

1. Sign Keenan Allen. This would cost them some money. Maybe 12 to 15 million a year on a 2 year deal.

2. Trade for Courtland Sutton. Maybe they could trade pick 12 for Sutton and pick 20. They then would have Sutton and could draft their running back and the do have the cap space to sign Sutton to a multi year deal.

3. Draft Tet McMillan, or Emeka Egbuka, or Golden. This puts the 2 spot on the shoulders of a rookie.

4. Sign Tyler Lockett and still draft a rookie.
Draft one

What do you mean?

We already have executed our plan for the #2 wr spot: sign a #4 guy for cheap (Paris Campbell), and call him a #2!

Easy peasy lemon squeezy

I go with #3. Signing an expensive FA should not be an option, especially with a shakey OL. We're several years away from contending anyway.

I would have to say I would be happy adding any of those players on that list , to the roster.Any of them I believe helps Cee Dee thrive.

I guess you missed the horrible run defense last year......and previous years too.
Didn’t miss it at all it’s a problem. But so is the run game and only 1 receiving weapon.

And these castaways they picked up don’t solve that

I’m just telling you they ain’t picking DT until later in the draft

Dont you stand by your Mazi draft pick still? I think you told the entire board it takes time for that position to adjust? I’m not gonna get upset if they draft defense early I just don’t see it

Too much WR talk, Cowboys need a good running more than a number two WR. I could also make a case where they need a better TE more than a WR2, but knock yourselves out. They need a better defense more than a WR2 lol, I'm just saying that's not going to save this team when they can't run or stop the run, and the QB is shook.

Locking in a 2 receiver and a top running back on rookie contracts would be a good way to go.
Exactly!! Our picking of Mazi is the hold up, we're not going to use resources on a first round pick because they're still caught on Mazi finally giving them something! Get ready to see an offensive player here!!! Wr or rb

It would be a horrible way to go. Are you Jerry posting incognito by any chance? I mean, this is how he thinks, and it's why we can't win in the playoffs.

The way to go would be DT's w/ our 1st two picks.

DT is deep the team has many needs. They need Wr2 and RB just as bad the only way I go defense is 3rd round on unless your blue chippers at RB and WR are gone and blue chippers on defense fall in to your lap

With osa resign and Mazi improvement ( apparently) I just don’t see early DT. Maybe if Scourton falls into their lap at 44 for DE but I think they like Williams and kneeland as the future
DT is deep? Man, you gotta be on drugs. DT is not only shallow, it's exceptionally shallow. We suck there. It's why we lose in the playoffs every year.

WR is heavy favorite in the first round. I don’t watch college so I dunno if any of those guys outside of McMillan are worth it at 12.

The Penn St tight end might be an intriguing option. Either way, we desperately need more playmaking on offense.
So, let me get this straight. We lose because our DT's suck every season, but it's more important to get playmakers on O?

I'm hoping you're daydrinking.
