What style of team would you run?

Let's use our imagination here for a minute.

You're a fledgling HC in the NFL. You have complete control of how you build your team, down to the very last player. What types of offense and defense do you use?

Do you go for an amazing pass rush with a mediocre secondary?

Do you build up amazing trenches but lack skill position players?

3-4? 4-3? West Coast? Run n Gun? Air Coryell?

Do you do whatever you have to do to get an elite QB? Do you prefer to be a punishing run heavy team?

What schemes do you run, what positions do you focus on, what areas do you let suffer? (Let's be real here, you're not going to have elite talent at every position.) What are your bread and butter plays? Do you want a punter with distance or one with accuracy?

Id be like the Dallas Cowboys but with Brady at qb, belicheck as the coach, And Todd gurley as my rb.

That's my favorite style.

That way you only have to find at least a solid QB. You don't need a really great one, just a solid, efficient, QB and you could win games and championships.

Oh yea. Regarding this thread.

I wouldn't touch a single coach or player from those cheating Patriots. I'd start with a GM not named Jerry Jones and work from there.

Build the dline and lb group first, then build the oline and invest either a high pick or money in a running back. Id have a game manager at qb through this whole process. If i got to the point where i had both the front 7 and the oline in good shape, id then invest in a qb early in the draft. Ideally taking qb and center in the first 2 rounds and let the qb just forever exist with said center. If this all pulled together id invest in safeties, then wrs, then cbs.

Priority 1 would always be the pass rush and priority 2 would always be pass protection. Nothing else would really compare to those two priorities.

I really loved the Jim Harbaugh 49ers. Had he stayed, I feel like those teams would have been in contention for years. That's the kind of team I would want.

A strong running game, a strong defense, and a QB who has to do just enough to win games. No need for big time WRs, just a talented group of guys who are willing to do their job when needed.

Would I give up Dez Bryant for a decent group of wideouts? Absolutely. Seahawks did it without any superstars, so did the Giants, Patriots in years past, Steelers, etc.
