What talented players would you trade for more players or picks?

I look at the early to mid 90s cowboys, and the patriots....

They always have a crap load of first day draft picks... and this is how they maintain their talent levels...

I think what could we have got for Terrell Owens. Or what could we have got for Roy Williams or Greg Ellis had we traded them a year or two ago?

What players would you be willing to trade right now? And Why?

Terence Newman. I think his value is higher than his worth if that makes sense. He is already getting up in age, and hasn't been able to stay on the field. We have a couple developing young corners who might be able to field both sides of the ball. I don't know how much more you can get out of newman, especially if he can't stay on the field. Also isn't helping us in the turnover battle, he doesn't play the ball well. One of my favorite players though.

Marion Barber or Tashard Choice. Probably Marion Barber simply because I think we might be able to get a first or a second out of him. I like the combination of Choice and Jones.

Miles Austin, if we could get a 3rd for him, I think that would be a steal. Maybe even a 4th.

Patrick Crayton. See Miles Austin.

Martellus Bennett. Maybe, but probably not. Don't see us getting much more than we drafted him for, unless he has a breakout season this year, and bumps up to a 1st round value.

Yeah, I'm already prepared to get some backlash on a not popular subject.

Other than T New I can see some of those scenarios happening.
A Barber trade makes sense, HB are easily replaceable. Besides we have Felix and Choice.
I could see a Miles trade, I was hoping the Jets would take him. He has upside, but he struggles with injuries and has questionable catching skills. Speed isn't everything.
Crayton is a reliable Slot man, if someone offers a 3rd or a 4th they can take him though.
I'd keep Marty B.

Miles and Barber would be our best bets.

We couldn't trade TO this year so what makes you think we could have last year? You generally can't trade players you about to cut. That is why guys like Harrison and Holt we not traded.

Same thing with Roy Williams. He had no trade value. Especially with that contract he had. What team would give up draft picks for that big contract just to get an average player?

Greg Ellis is another story. He had a reasonable deal and still had trade value. The question is finding his replacement. Some agrue we don't have a proven player to take his spot now. If that is true, were we in better shape last year? Nope. Really trading Ellis wasn't an option last year.

No one is going to trade for Barber. Too much tread on the tires.

I'll trade Crayton for a used piece of toilet paper though.

Barber has plenty of tread left.

I wouldn't make one trade.

At 26 years old and after just 4 years, 60 games and 3052 rushing + 1010 rec yards???

this is the exact thing i would like to see happen with Newman.....still has value but probably wont last 3 more years...

as for the others ..Barber, Choice, Bennett, or Austin i think their value lies on the roster not as trade bait...

I'd say everybody except for a QB is an option to trade. Franchise QBs are so hard to come by, you gotta keep one when you get him. Other than that, I think every player in the league should be worried about their job at all times.

uhmm.........isn't more tread on tires better than less? That would mean they're newer... right? I just thought it was funny...kind of like "I could care less."

Don't shoot me...just observin'...

We are a team that will be competing for the Superbowl every year because we have a core of guys around the same age.

So I would keep all of our talent unless a crazy offering price was offered to us by another team for a player.

The draft is to hit or miss to get rid of a good player with no contract or personal issues.

If we really want to cash in on someone than it would be nice for Stephen McGee to show promise.
