I mean I know you can first round tender a player? but can you give a tender out for each round?

And what would determine the amount paid?

I believe anything less than a first round tender would only net the losing team a pick in which the player was originally drafted IIRC.

if u tender a player and another team signs him, you get no compensation from that team...

if u franchise a player and another team signs him, you get compensation from that team...

Seattle tendered Hutchinson last year.....Minnesota signed him....and if u recall, they didnt owe Seattle anything....but Seattle made Minnesota give him an outrageous contract.......

then Seattle turned around and did the same thing to Minnesota with WR Nate Burleson

How do we keep McBriar? We didn't draft him but signed him as a UFA so we'd get nothing for him if another team wants him. All we can do is make him such a good offer that an interested team might hesitate. Someone has suggested we tender McBriar $1.3M which hopefully would keep him. But he's a pro bowl kicker and real lhelp to our STs. So again how do we keep him?

The RFA tenders have changed quite a bit...I dont have all the details (maybe Adam does) but I think in addition to the high tender which results in 1st rd pick compensation, there's now a tender that results in a 2nd rd pick compensation...I'm pretty sure it doesnt matter whether the player was drafted or not for those tenders

for ex, McBrair is reportedly going to be tendered at the new level, which would result in a 2nd rd pick for us if anyone were to sign him and us not match
