What the big deal with Starbucks?

Meh.. I like my Starbucks coffee. it's not something I drink everyday. It's only when I have a taste for it. Otherwise, i drink office coffee, the donut shop coffee down the street, or gas station coffee. I'm not all that picky.

But when I want Starbucks, then that's what I get and it's $5 for a grande.

Starbucks over roasts their coffee beans and is way to pricey for the automation they use to make your coffee. If you go to a nice coffee shop you can definitely tell the difference between the two.

Am I missing something here? Or does it take a special kind of idiot to pay 12 bucks for a cup of coffee and a sweet roll?

Answer? DAILY DOUBLE!

(Circa mid 1980's)

What is I will pay for $1-2 for water, on average $100 for tv and $5.00 for a cup coffee, Alex?

(The joke here is everyone said I won't pay for those things I can get them for free (tv and water anyway)

Pike Place Roast is disgusting coffee. Their Cafe Verona is the best IMO, but I don't let them make it. I buy the whole bean and make it at home. They make it a bit too strong because they French Press it when I get it from a shop since their normal coffee is Pike Place.

Cafe Verona has a light chocolate (though not blatant) and it's smooth and sand paper like Pike Place. If I drink Pike Place, I have to bury it in sugar and cream. I can drink Cafe Verona black.

Atmosphere I guess. I'm a coffee hater. I've never drunk a full cup off coffee because I hate it so much. However, even I have gone to Starbucks and have gotten Tea so that I can use the free wifi.
