Because the regular season means nothing. The chargers were 14-2 last year (and a vastly superior team to the 2007 cowboys i might add) and were bounced in their first playoff game.

Stats mean nothing plus Romo and Phillips have never won a playoff game. I just feel that we are way to overconfident for a team that has proven nothing this year. The competition is going to be even better these next few weeks and right now we aren't playing good football at all.

Sounds to me as tho there are a few of you who don't think we are a very good team.
Granted, we haven't been playing very well of late ,but I think we peaked a little too soon, and have a few injuries to work on , but with a little rest and a few adjustments to the teams we may meet in the P.O.'s I think we'll be the team that no-one wants to meet.

Because we're not invincible and not a perfect team. We CAN lose in the playoffs. Any given Sunday. We're not perfect, but of COURSE we're the team no one wants to play. But just remember we're not invincible and we can lose.

That being said, I dont think we do. Lets just put the anointing oil away with this team right now. We havent won anything. You guys need to remember that.

I agree with most in here even though were not playing as well as we did early in the season, because of injuries, we are still better than everyone else in the NFC. Lets face it, the only teams that will give us a run in a playoffs are imo and two of them might not make the playoffs are

A. Packers

B. Eagles

C. Commanders

Looking at the other teams around,

1. Bucs = they dont have enough offense to stay with us

2. Seahawks= Weak finesse team. In addition, we will be out to get these guys after last season.

3. Giants= If they had Shockey I would be concerned. I think we beat them for the 3rd time if we play them.

4. Vikings= You stop the run and you win. Simple as that.


This is my dream scenario.

Rd 2 Cowboys vs Bucs
Packers vs Seahawks
RD 3 Cowboys vs Seahawks

I really think that will be the easiest road. Any time you match us up with the Skins you can throw out the numbers. With the Giants, its hard to beat a team 3x in one season. The Packers are the only team I think that beileves they can beat us.

Bring it, Washington, Seattle/NYG, I could care less. The boys walked into the San Fransisco (equivalent to NE Patriots of today) and basically handed their a**es to them, that's what great teams do, they don't run from anyone.

Chargers last year were not as good as that record indicated. Especially since their division sucked large. Our Division is MUCH tougher this year.
We could be the only division in the NFL without a losing team if the birds win this week.
