What the heck is wrong with our FG kicking team?

This was a stength of our special teams unit early and midway through our season.
At the end and in the playoffs it was clearly a liability.
Missed kicks, blocked kicks you name it.

I am removing "Money" as Bailey's nickname.

Is he hurt possibly ? He really struggled down the streach.
 
The miss hurt. Bailey wasn't his normal consistent self in the playoffs.
 
Bissacia's unit has been mediocre all season. Blocked punt, a handful of deflected FGs, punt coverage mishaps
 
Bailey got the yips and isn't worth keeping around. Yips is something you cut kickers for.
 
Special teams better be a close second behind the entire def in things that need fixing this offseason.
 
Bailey was Horrid today. Kickoffs gave the Packers great field position on every kick. The field goal attempt was partially blocked - true, but he missed it before the penalty and kicked it too low the second try. I think his affect on the game was just as critical as Murray's fumble.
 
Here's the problem. Bailey automatically gets a pass because he is almost always clutch. It's literally impossible to hold it against him because he is always so clutch. Murray on the other hand...
 
To his defense Crosby kicked on the better side of the grass. I don't think anyone is prepared for crappy grass, especially when you play on turf at home.
 
Kickers have fragile outlooks. There's a lot of former Cowboys kickers in the league but they all had to leave in order to get back in line. Bailey has and has had the yips for weeks now and should be cut. He's not right mentally.
 
You try kicking a football into the endzone in 20 degree weather. Had to be like kicking a brick. I'm always concerned with Bailey from that left hashmark.
 
Bailey hadn't looked good the past 2 games was concerned after he missed that chip shot last week.
 
No, it wasn't. Our no name D was exposed by a gimpy QB. That's why we lost. That and a couple of poor play calls on offense.

And we scored only 7 points in the second half and none in the fourth quarter...

The kicker is a choker
You nailed it. It's one thing to kick nice comfortable kicks when the game or season is not on the line, it's another thing to kick when the lights are on, everything's at stake.

I hate to be negative, but it's just the truth. For the last 2 or 3 games, Bailey appears as though the pressure is too much. If I see a trend, then he's on my hot list as a choker.
 
He mi**** the second kick.

Look to the tape an more importantly the ground when he contacts the ball. Way too much turf came up with the kick.

In colder weather you have to put more on the ball. It doesn't fly as well.

His attempt to get he distance may have been a factor in the poor kick.
