What Things Do You Hope The Cowboys Accomplish?

First and for most No Injuries!!!!!! Secondly, I like to see somebody emerge as the third WR to go along with Crayton and Owens.

I would also like to see how well that Scandrick and Jenkins handle being in a game situation in the NFL. I would hope at least for Jenkins that he holds his own so we can relie on him so we can do different packages to confuse the defenses during the regular season.

Lastly, I would like to see how well the Special Teams Unit, that wasn't special at all last year, plays. So, I will be watching Jones and Jones returning punts and kickoffs.

Along with Kick and punt returns keeping a watchful eye on special teams coverage will be important as well.

That is all I care about in a first preseason game.

I start worrying about players making impacts and statements in game three.

Right now, I just want this one over and done with.

I want to see sharpness and a team that doesnt committ PENALTIES.

I'd also like to see big plays from our young guys on offense and I want to see the young players in the secondary show us why they are getting so much buzz.

No injuries, of course. As far as guys winning position battles it's a little too early to decide that.

How many different ways is this question going to be asked? Screw the analysis and the nail-biting and just play the damn game.

Most important for me in order of importance for 1st Pre-Season game:

1. No injuries

2. Chance to evaluate rookies and bubble guys to make sure best 53 man roster is made by end of pre-season

3. Well disciplined team, esp with the vets (few penalties - esp the dumb ones - and turnovers)

4. Good execution from 1st team offense/defense and key role players

(By the 3rd pre-season game execution the order changes.)

We need the following vet players to begin making a statement:

Marcus Spears
Tank Johnson
Bobby Carpenter
Zack Thomas
Bowen
Pat McQuistan
Sam Hurd
Miles Austin

I'd also like to see something from the rookies/2nd year players:

Isiah Stanback
Doug Free
James Marten
Joe Berger
Danny Amendola
Dowayne Davis
Eri Walden
Felix Jones
Jenkins
Scandrick
Choice
Deon Anderson
Mark Bradford
Dixon
T.George
Bartel

That's a nice list, but I still think that we are going to bringing in some competition for Bartel in the next week or two.

Maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part . . . .

* Personally, I appreciate the post Pick6, due to the fact that I haven't been in here for a couple of days and I'm a bit excited, regardless if it's preseason.

* The obvious, no injuries. I hope to see Felix run well when given the chance. No more up the gut for one yard and a cloud of dust, ala Julius Jones.

* I also would like to see Roy Williams play with some sense of urgency, as if his job was on the line and he has a chip on his shoulder. Let's see how the number 38 looks after tonight.

* I really hope to see Sam Hurd and Miles Austin step up. We need that #3 WR behind Owens and Crayton.

* What can Amendola bring to the table? Is he going to raise some eyebrows in a good way?

* Lastly, I want to see both lines, offense and defense, dominate the Chargers. The Chargers defense will be a good test to see how far this O-line has come since the start of training camp.

No problem, my pleasure. Like your comments. Watch to see what Brad Johnson does because if he stinks it up, see ya!!!!!!

The things i hope to see is if this defense will go to the next level.

I want someone to emerge as an extra threat at the WR besides T.O.

I want to see if Tony Romo has made more improvements to his game which would make him scary good.

I need to add to my previous post. That being said, I am looking for a much improved number 93, coming off his rookie season. From most of the reports coming out of training camp, it looks like Anthony Spencer gets it.

Some of these reports have Anthony as being almost unstoppable. If that's true, then Wade's first rounder is looking better and better. I for one believe Spencer is going to be a monster opposite our other premiere monster, Demarcus Ware.

Love the sig YoMick. I'm beginning to think that maybe it's just you and me that are supporting Bobby. Gotta love the underdogs.

And to respond to your post, you're right about 6 Super Bowls as being the only accomplishment ( bottom-line ), but the road to Tampa begins tonight.
