Mickens, Smith and Hamlin added to the DB's we currently have should increase the productivity of our pass defense.
But what it truly does is cause the QB to hold the ball longer as receivers try to get separation.
Hodge, Butler and both Williams are attacking style defenders. Married with our current crop of pass rushers who led the league, the added time the QB has to hold the ball indicates our job one is:
Kill the quarterback.
Too early to tell if this will be successful. But it's apparent we are not standing on last year's sack totals and trying to improve with these players selected.
