Love it or hate him TO will bring some excitement to the offense. He will make plays, excite the crowd and the rest of the players on offense. The defense needs a player like that. Sure Bill has brought in some solid talented young guys. But nobody like Ray Lewis who's going to talk the talk and walk the walk. I hope Bill and Jerry Trade up and get AJ Hawk He will make this Defence scary.

I agree.

They need a real leader on that D. Willie M. would have fit that bill.

Julian Peterson would also go a long way. He is very outspoken, something this D could truly use.

I agree with your sentiment, however, not sure a rookie will the kind of impact your suggesting. Nothing against AJ Hawk at all, he is going to be outstanding, but not for 2-4 years down the road. If you want to bring in an impact player that can bring some play making skills, then Arrington or Peterson is the way to go. I would prefer Peterson, but make no mistake, Arrigton wooudl instantly increase the intensity level of our D.

It would certainly help.

And with several young players developing, one or more should step into leadership roles as time passes, IMO.

I never ready anything about Roy Williams having a leadership role on the defense.

I'm sure the other players get pumped up when he makes big hits, but I don't believe Roy is a vocal leader.

Everything last year indicated Bradie James was the player who became the defense's ringleader after Dat Nguyen was forced to the sideline with injuries.

I'd like Peterson to provide the swagger. He's young, able to rush the passer AND cover TE's. Arrington CANT cover, he's clearly proven that. Wasn't Peterson the 49er last year who garaunteed a win against us? If the price is right maybe he's the guy? It would be asking alot for a rookie LB to come in and provide that in year 1.

I am against trading up for any player in this draft.

In a way I agree because the draft is full of so many talented players that you can find what you want in the first three rounds but on the otherside compared to last year this draft has a lot more players to move up for.

I like the depth at safety in this draft... Not too many superstars, but a lot of solid players who could slip to the 2nd or 3rd round. (Hopefully Ko Simpson from S. Carolina)
