I know I am going to get a lot of "cut the guy", "who?", and "is he still on the team" type comments, but MM drafted him last year, so does he get cut and/or prevent us from drafting another QB in the later rounds? Personally I don't think they let him be a QB in the one game he played, and that contributed to his being awful, but should he be one and done? Does MM want to keep working with him? Is he just a PS guy?

They used a draft pick on him albeit a seventh rounder. I think they give him more time. I also don't think he sees the field this year in any kind of real game.

No brainer. You continue to develop him.
you continue to try to find him snap reps and game experience - assuming we can have some kind of limited preseason.

Some just don't understand that he's been extremely limited to exposure and has a greater learning curve considering his background, and they may have their minds made up that
he's crap and he'll stay crap based off a rushed in game vs Eagles.

Ben may just need developmental time. You carry him as long as you can, so long as he's showing you something in practices and preseason games.
If you have luxury to carry a 3rd QB that you don't want to risk waiver exposure per practice squad then that works.

Practice squad at best. He should not take up a roster spot. Talking heads gave him the nickname “BAD”. He cost us the playoffs with that pathetic performance against the Eagles.

PS. I guess. Matters very little.

It better not. Draft someone mid-late and let them sling it out.

Draft another if the "value" is there and let them battle.

Odds are heavily against him. And against any QB we draft really. But let there be a competition.

No decision should be made yet, but he certainly isn't on solid ground. He will go through OTA's and a full training camp for the first time, and play in some preseason games, and then the team will decide.

@Einstein Well, it depends.
It depends if Dak is able to play at the start the season.
It depends if DiNucci has improved and understands the mental part of the game.
It depends on Gilbert and what he looks like in camp.
It depends on if the Cowboys draft a QB and if that drafted QB is any good.

Basically, the backup QB position will come down to keeping 2 on the active roster of Gilbert, Rush, DiNucci and any QB drafted. The others will be PS material.

..between GG and Denukie, GG showed much more assertiveness, commanded the pocket more. Wasn't afraid to step up and throw. Denukie looked limped and scared out there the whole time.

How many chances can you get in the NFL? ..Part ways.

I doubt he goes anywhere. MM really wanted this guy so I don't think there is any way they give up on him at this point. But it shouldn't stop us from drafting another one but my guess is, they will not draft a QB this year, and the back up will be Gilbert and The nooch.
