I'm not as underwhelmed as a lot of fans after this first day.
We started out with 6 picks and now we have 9.
I like the Carpenter pick but I will admit I wanted Lawson more. However I think Carpenter will be a good player right away and he was good value at 18.
The pick of Fasano threw me for a loop.
JJ's explanation says that we will be running alot of 2te's,2wr's and 1 rb sets this next season.
I'm thinking Polite is gone by the start of next season and we keep 4 te's with Witten,Hannam,Fasano and Pierce/Ryan.
We have 6 picks tomorrow.
In the fourth round we have to wait til nearly the end of the round to pick.
I've noticed that at the start of the second day of the draft you usually see a lot of familar names being picked early in round 4. That means that guys like KO Simpson, Pat Watkins, Max Jean-Gilles and Demetrius Williams will more than likely be gone by our first pick in the fourth.
Our scouting dept. needs to have a good day tomorrow.
Because tomorrow you will see alot of names being picked by us that are not household names. A couple of guys I think you may see us looking at...
S-Antwan Marsh-Pikesville College (Ky)-6ft.2in.-215lbs-4.42 forty
DT/NT-Domata Peko-Michigan ST-6ft.3in-307lbs.

We already started that today.
Hatcher isn't a household name in his own household.
