What Uniforms are the Cowboys wearing?

In even number Super Bowl years, the AFC gets to pick what jersey they want to wear.

In Super Bowl 40, the Steelers picked white because that's the jersey they were wearing all through the playoffs.

This year is Super Bowl 44... so the AFC team can pick what they want. If we make it to the Super Bowl, then the only way we'd wear our navy blue jerseys (which I love) is if the Chargers/Colts/Jets/Ravens go with their white jersey. I could probably see the Ravens doing that, trying what the Steelers did in Super Bowl XL.

If we win this weekend and the Saints win, then the Saints MIGHT make us wear the navy blues. The Saints strike me as a superstitious franchise.

It will be the simple traditional white jersey versus the NFL's most garish garments, royal purple from head to toe.

I heard that Jerry wanted to bring these back for the rest of the playoffs.

The Cowboys and Dolphins are the 2 teams who wear white at home. The lone exception is when we wear our throwback uniforms and wear blue at home like we did prior to 1966 when the NFL gave teams a choice.

The Eagles and Commanders regularly make us wear blue when we visit. Tampa Bay has as well. Every other team in the NFL generally wears their dark jerseys at home whether we are the opponent or not.

White.

In 2006, the Jaguars made us wear our cursed blues on opening day. In 2002, the Texans also made us wear our cursed blues on opening day. The Rams also made us wear them last year.

I don't know why they're so cursed. We haven't lost a game in those uniforms since that infamous Rams game. That's 3 wins in our cursed blues, the longest streak since 2003, I believe.

The "curse" started in Super Bowl V. We wore blue and it was an awful game. Sacks, turnovers, and all around bad play by everyone except Chuck Howley. The next year we wore white and beat the Dolphins senseless and the "curse" idea was born because people noticed we won more in the white jerseys. of course we did. It is easier to win at home. The curse is really silly.

White.

Saints on occasion wear their white at home. Seldom though. Cleveland will wear their white's in the early goings. So do the Bucs. Usually the Skins wear white as their home uni's. Iggles wear white in the beginning of the season.

We actually have a better winning percentage with our cursed blues than our whites.

The last playoff game we won with those cursed blues was the 1978 NFC Championship game against the LA Rams.

The winning percentage in our "new blue" post-1980 in road games is about even with the winning percentage in the whites on the road in that same period.
