First off I can't muster much energy to give ya'll today as I haven't slept but about an 2 hours in a 48 span and had to go out for a walk last night after learning of Weldon's death...(the hurt is still to near for me to get much sleep or take much enjoyment from the game)
This is what was...
The Cowboys first team outside of the 4th corner looked good enough to win many games this year... after the first series the oline came off the line with authority and took the game to the raiders front 7. THe O still needs a litlle work but it maybe the unit with the least amount of work ahead of it.
I thought for the most part the 2nd string oline wasn't near as terrible as I have been hearing but they certainly aren't of the first strings caliber except for maybe Holland.
The real stinkers were our 2nd string LB's they over pursed and Oak would run or pass right to the spot they left. Also the 2nd string dline was kinda none exsistent not a one of them caught my eye as really make a play good or bad...the 5th, 6th, 7th CB were playing far too cautious but that is understandable but it gives them all something to work on.
The Special teams were so-so but that is also understandable with the newrule changes (no wedge)...so I can't say exactly if it was good coverage till all the teams figure this out. But it looks like McBriar has his boom back and David did put one in the endzone..Special teams needs work but it shows real potential.
Igor, Rat did well... Spears I thought would play better than he did.
Roy W. hard to say with just one catch but that comeback pattern is about timing and it looked good to me.
Felix is a stud.
Barber looked quicker but somehow a bit more timid to me.
Well thats all I can think of for now...
I am trying real hard to shake the blues right now my friends so forgive me if this comes out a bit scattered brain.
