I don't get the let's win 2 or 3 of the last five.

Let's win them all. I only see one big challenge for us and that's NO.

Chargers sure. Giants? Why? When have they looked formidable, other then Media saying they were, this year? They did beat up on bad teams early in the year, since then, they have been mediocre at best. They have been good in spurts in each game, but seem to fold when going goes bad.

Chargers and New Orleans are the teams that I see a big iffy for Cowboys. Chargers being home here, might give them a good chance of beating them, if not I don't see them beating them either. But Chargers D is average at best. They have been better last 2-3 weeks, but they are not a great Defense at all, especially against Run.

I mean, usually the good teams only lose to other good teams (except for the occassional upset).

Good teams pad their record by beating up on the bad teams. Its like the BCS, how many games against top 25 teams do the big three have???(Florida, Bama, Texas). Maybe 2 or 3 max out of 11 or 12, you dont think Texas playing the UCF Golden Knights or LA Tech or North Texas pads their record???

Besides, unlike the BCS, having the best record means jack in the NFL playoffs. Didnt every team with a bye lose last year and hasnt several SB champs recently not even won their division???(see the 07 Giants who were the 6th seed and lost to us twice in the regular season).

We have feasted on below .500 teams. We have struggled with .500 or better. (2-3)

It will be very interesting to see how this plays out.

I predict we win 2 and lose 3 down the stretch and finish 10-6. Not a bad finish at all, and will qualify for the playoffs.

I say we beat the Giants, Skins and Iggles to finish 11-5... maybe even the Chargers, for a 12-4 record...

We didnt struggle against the Giants, we were just careless with the pigskin. Also we didnt feast on the Panthers, Chiefs, or Skins. All of those games were a struggle.

Absolutely.

Without our turnovers the Giants score a whopping 4 FG's against us.

We already went over this in the thread.

Atlanta without a loss to us would be 5-4, but we already included them in the .500 and ABOVE group, so it wouldn't change a thing.

Carolina (4-6), would be 4-5 if not for their loss against us, so the would still be BELOW .500, which is the group I put them in.

The facts are accurate, what you make of them is up to you. As I've already said, I find the numbers encouraging. Good team beat up on bad team, and we have done that.

Maybe someone SHOULD keep an eye on a record built like that. When they start to play some good teams we might find out they aren't as good this year.

Very realistic. I think the biggest game of the year might be the next one against the Giants. I really do.

If we beat the Giants, then all we have to do is beat the Skin or Eagles and it will be very tough not to win the division.

If we lose to the Giants to drop to 8-4, then the pressure begins to crank up because we then go San Diego and New Orleans.

I DO believe we can beat those two teams, but I also believe they are going to be very tough games. The POTENTIAL would be there to drop 3 in a row, and if we go to Washington 8-6, all the sudden the deadskins have something precious to play for, spoil the Cowboys season.

So, I say lets take care of the Giants and make the rest of the season a lot easier, and don't even open the door to possibility of the rest of the drama.

Not really. The bottom line is that the teams that have beaten us this year are all well above .500, without help from us, and the teams that we have beaten, are for the most part well below .500. Carolina, taking our game out of the picture is 4-5 against the rest of the league.
