Let me start by congratulating Wade Phillips and his team for ending the December woes, going in to the playoffs hot, and probably saving his ***. Now, with that being said, let us look at what we learned:
a) Those Football Gods in my last post that some mocked...Well, they continued to slam NE for running the score up a few years ago during the 16-1 run (i.e. losing in the last minute of that year's SB, losing Brady the next after that) NOW got NE again with the Welker injury...and like I said, burned Philly from a division title for that Mike Vick courage vote (of course next week's game will solidify this opinion even more). Mock me, but you cannot mock the Football Gods.
b) espn CONTINUES to employ idiots, as now Dallas is the most well rounded team in football. Wasn't it Philly, er...I mean, New Orleans, er...I mean Minnesota. Tell you what espn. Do not try to do anymore than just report scores. That is about all you get right. Oh by the way, last week Cowher certain to coach in the NFL per a source. This week Cowher likely NOT to coach per a source. I guess if you take both sides you can never be wrong huh guys????
c) I owe a HUGE apology to those who bashed me for saying Philly and NY would struggle with new defensive coordinators. I was certainly incorrect in this analysis/prediction. Many of you said the systems are in place and they will be set. Well...NY may be firing Sheridan if it hasn't already happened and Philly ain't exactly bringing the fear that Jimmy Johnson defenses once did are they?
d) Speaking of Jim Johnson, Garrett better be ready to see Philly attack like they did in the first 2 series of the 2nd half. I am still not 100% confident when we play teams that blitz, blitz, blitz.
e) God, Doug Free is SO MUCH better as a fill in than Proctor EVER was.
f) Bobby Carpenter: out of position (continually getting realigned by other LBs on the filed...come on), you are Celek's *****, and you just cannot compete physically at this level,
g) Penalties, FGs, or coaching (that means you Garrett) still have a HUGE chance at killing us next week (fortunately we have the Football Gods though),
h) Can anyone tell me WHY ROMO WAS PLAYING AFTER GETTING HURT, AND WHY WE WERE THROWING UP 24 WITH 4 MINUTES TO GO ON OUR OWN 10?
