What were TO & Barber doing?

On Owens TD, he stops and freezes and looks at the ball, and then Barber bends over and stares at the ball.

They both stood so still and motionless while looking at the ball.

And then Barber jumps up and head-butts TO.

I wonder what that was all about, and if it was something they had talked about or had a joke between them about.

Anybody know?

Have to admit I was at a loss on that one as well.

I don't know if TO decided he was not going to do some act and just stood there like in a moment of silence and barber just was having fun or if it was something they planned.

Just weird what ever it was.

Maybe Barber has no clue when it comes to on-field celebrations. Didn't he ackwardly interrupt T.O. and Sam Hurd earlier in the season?

TO's way of making a celebration out of "not celebrating"? A shot at the No Fun League?

I think T.O did nothing to see if they would flag him, for doing nothing. Its fine as long as he get sin the end zone and doesn't get flags, The refs are so out for him and never give him the benefit. Every close play goes against him. That was a push out of bounds by a mile. But he doesn't get the call Bogus. We need to play almost perfect to win against great teams.

I thought maybe the same thing.

He figures that no matter what I do, it's wrong. So I'll do nothing and see what happens.

If I was him I would be getting paranoid, ... whenever there is a question whether he makes a catch or not, it goes against him. He drops the ball harmlessly after a catch and gets a penalty but others can do more and get nothing. The media cuts him down if he does something or if he does nothing at all, they get on him if he says something or if he says nothing at all.

All of this anti-TO jock riding is getting old.

Just treat him the same as other players.

Anyway, I was glad to see him get a TD after they had overturned his catch on the sidelines, and I got a kick out of their EZ celebration.

Now if he can just go a game and not drop a pass.

I think you're overanalyzing it.

Looked like T.O. was pretending to sign the football or something.

Barber just happened to be the first one running in to congratulate him but froze in order to give T.O. a moment to celebrate and to see whatever celebration he was doing.

Funny thing is Moss dropped 3 passes yesterday ..... not a word was said except that one of them was an "amazing almost catch"

That was the one thing that really ticked me off yesterday. It was obvious even at real speed he was forced out but they call it a catch without a force out. The Refs know what can and can't be reviewed. I never really believed this but after this game I think the officials get some kind of sign from the league that this is the team they want to win this week and if it's close, make the call go the way the way we want.

And when it come to the Pats whatever it takes to help them along is just fine. They are a dirty team, they get no immediate on field punishment for cheating. When they are caught they are fined money which they have boat loads and have to give up a pick that is not defined.

The league has made a mockery of itself with it's treatment of players who violate the rules as well as coaches (Wilson) but when it comes to NE, a slap on the wrist. It is pathetic and it portrays the great game in a very bad way.

Rant off/
