What will Choice do tomorrow?

We'd better run the ball....a lot....I don't like our chances of our OTs holding up against Freeney and Mathis.

who knows, he may not even get carries. He was supposed to get a ton a few weeks ago. He's so far in the doghouse, they may force feed felix 35 times.

Yeah, I was thinking they might give Felix 25 carries or so and go pass heavy. If Jerry doesn't want Choice to shine, Choice doesn't get to shine. Gotta love how that works. :bang2:

So much for that signature. Shot to hell in one big, false fantasy.

Nothing would make me happier than to see Choice provide a spark to the running game.

Alas, I perceive the problems are not the RBs, but the OL.

You are probably right. But don't look past the fact that Choice will not think twice about getting in some under achieving O-Line faces if they are not blocking. They won't be used to that.

Spot on assumption... I look forward to seeing that fire.

If Choice doesn't get carries today, he should go to Jerry and tell him to go F himself and release him.

Lol I love your Choice hate.

Naw, I really don't hate Choice... Just having some fun with Bleu. :)

I want to see TC get more carries, too -- mainly because Barber has nothing.

GL to our team today. ;) Spoilers it is...

He will show everyone how well a perceived 3rd down back can run the ball. We actually control the clock against Indy tomorrow with a nice mix of Choice & Felix alternating series. Nostradamus tells me Choice will amass 70 yards on 15 carries with another 20 receiving. He'll also grab another TD tomorrow (on the ground). This will be the start of what everyone should expect to see next season when MB3 is jettisoned. As much as I like to say the team will regret seeing Choice go elsewhere, I actually believe they will come around and realize the value in keeping him here.

Dallas wins tomorrow. Choice and Felix enjoy their first game together providing a solid and desperately needed ground game.
Kinda close their but...no cigar!

Actually very close... The day many of you stop perceiving Choice as a 3rd down back will be the day you begin to realize the complete nature of his game. Choice is the closest thing to a feature back that we have. Today was a start. I'm hopeful that Jerry & whoever else all swallow their lame pride and play the man. Choice may be outspoken but that's part of being a leader. I wouldn't have it any other way.

Let's see... Just for the record I called 90 total yards and a TD.

Choice pulled in 100 yards and a TD... Oh & that's averaging 5.3 YPC.

Play the man...........

I'm sure many of the "he's just a 3rd down back" crowd will avoid this thread like the plague. Just rest assured, he is no 3rd down back. & who cares where that defense was ranked? Choice balled out like some of us know he is capable of doing on the regular. Just for the sake of comparison since many of the "he's just a 3rd down back" crowd worship Felix... Here's what Felix did today against the same D.

.......... CAR YDS AVG TD LG
T. Choice 19 100 5.3 1 26
F. Jones 22 83 3.8 0 11

The future lies with both of them on the field regularly. Jerry needs to get it, Garrett needs to get it, & a good percentage of the fans need to get it.

Very impressed with Choice today. He's a quality back who can play.

It's going to be very tough to justify not playing him as one of the two backs. I'm talking about going forward into next year.

The offensive line did good in the first quarter but kind of lost its push in the second and third quarters. It rebounded in the fourth quarter.

Garrett kind of crossed the Colts up with the flips (outside) to Choice. Those two plays went for a combined 46 yards. Huge plays...Nice job by Choice..That play hasn't fooled anyone this year when Felix runs it...Teams saw the 49 yard TD last year. Other teams have read that play all the way this year. Plus, that play becomes more dangerous when you can run a counter run to the right. Choice did a great job on that play today, but don't expect to live off of it. Outside rushing yards are very, very, very tough behind this line. Teams have seen it to Choice now.

Short yardage and goal-line remains an adventure.

Jones had 83 tough yards between the tackles today...

Very proud of him, too...

Although inconsistent, the line was game today, but blocking runs (especially counters) to get Jones outside has been a major problem all season. Frustrating... Garrett rarely even calls them, any more. Running to the right is like getting stuck in a grave yard full of mud. There is simply no where to go.

Still strongly think the interior of this offensive line needs two new, younger, stronger, more athletic guards. Plus, they need an offensive tackle. Free is a solid, adequate LT, imo, who could be upgraded if the opportunity presented itself. Regardless, another OT is needed.

Anyway, big rushing totals today...200+ rushing yards

Very glad...

I was loving that game...

41 carries for the running backs...:):)

Ball control. ;) I would like to think we got a taste of what the backfield will look like next year. I'm a huge proponent of Choice and Felix sharing the load.

Bleu Star,

I left you a post in the game thread.

I said that you may be passed out during the game due to joy. :)

Scandrick--pick 6

Choice 100 yards TD

Scandrick has played very well since Phillips got the boot.

Very impressed with his play inside.

I wasn't too happy when he got lit up by his own guy...
