All off season they have said Zeke and Cooper are the priorities. More so Dak since I don't think Cooper is in a big rush to get one done right now. If this hold out causes them to panic and moves Zeke to the front of the line, what does they say to Dak, Cooper and even more, others that will be coming up for deals?

Dak and Cooper didn't threatened to hold out and showed up to camp. In 2018 Dlaw had played out his contract, they tagged him and never worked out a deal. In 2019 they tagged him again, he threatened hold out and wouldn't get surgery until he got a new deal. He got a new deal with that method.

No you have Zeke holding out with 2 years left on his deal. If they panic and bump him to the front of the line, what message does that send? Dlaw(2018), Dak and Cooper all played it the "right way" and didn't get singed. In Dak and Cooper situations there still a chance and a good one for Dak but might get bumped down the line for a hold out. Dlaw(2019) and Zeke played it the hold out way and got paid.

Again, I don't see anyway Dak doesn't get signed. I don't think he cares if it's first or 2nd as long as it gets done before the season. But overall does this send a message to others? Is it a bad one? Bad look? Play it the "nice way" and don't get paid or takes longer. Play it the hold out way and they'll get you sign.

I know Dak wouldn't do it because he's not that guy and it would be a HORRIBLE look, but if I was him and this hold out gets Zeke a new deal before him, id walk out of camp until I got a new one. Obviously holding out works.

Obviously this is all hypothetical and might not even work out like this.

Zeke deal has ZERO to do with when Dak gets his deal. Dak should not be phased at what happens with XZeke. Two very different contracts, positions, and situations.

That being said... what about Thoma in New Orleans.... what about him> what will it say if the saints ,"Panic?"

well depends on the deal....if it's a ridiculous deal then it looks bad....if it's a reasonable deal then no biggie

It will say two things, either hold out or threaten to hold out. And most importantly, forget those last two years of the contract, the FO blinks a lot.

This will establish a precedent for dealing with the FO of the Cowboys.

People will say or make up crap to fit their narrative. No mater which player is signed first.
It means nothing but the contract signed worked for that player and the team.

Just as of a 1st round pick signs before a 3rd round pick, or vice versa, it means nothing.

^^^ I mentioned that in my OP. It's not just Dak or copper, it's the locker room and guys that will be coming uo for contracts. Dlaw (2019) and Zeke will show holding out or the threat will get you paid and quicker. Dlaw (2018), Dak and Cooper shows no hold out or threat, no so fast and could have to wait a year and get tagged first.

I mention Cooper but I think it's more him that he's not signed.

As far as Thomas, I'm not sure what he has to do with this and he's a saint so I don't give a **** but I'll try to answer. Saints haven't said all year that 2 others are a priority and then panic and sign a guy who wasn't a priority this year but did so because he held out.

Also, I know some will bring up the OL and there were no threats or hold outs. This team has built around the OL and have the highest paid ol in the NFL. They have shown those guys will be paid.

Zeke is making the most noise, I’d think it would be fine to sign him first. Dak probably knows he’ll get more in Dallas than anywhere else, so they can wait on him if they have to. Cooper is somewhere in between. He has the most to gain by having a good season, so sooner than later might be wise (for the team).

Once Zeke gets his new extention ( I consider it a sure happening) then unless Dak accepts a real friendly team contract he is playing for it come kick-off time.

well you can not give a **** because he is a saint, but a contract signed by other teams has a major impact on deals signed by the Cowboys. Word was Thomas was the exact reason cooper was in no rush. He wanted to let Thomas set the range. It works aout perfectly for Cooper. He puts on the pads and goes to work, smiles, looks like the good guy in all of this.... and all he was really doing was waiting to see what Thomas got from the Saints so then Cooper will start his deal negotiations. By the way.... Cooper and Thomas arent even close in terms of numbers. Thomas has had the greatest 3 season start to a career by ANY WR in teh history of the NFL.

I don’t know what it will say, but Zeke will say “thank you”.

Tha real question is this. Does Jerry view Zeke, Dak, and Cooper as the new triplets?

Does signing them all mean he is reproducing the formula that won in the early 90's? Is tank the Charfles Haley of this team?

Did he bolster the defensive front with enough players to have a rotation?

Is this the early 90's version of the 2019 team?

If so, what does that say about Jerry's evolution, or just living in the past philosophy?

And could you make that argument as he tried to do that with Romo, but never could get the right pieces at WR and RB?

It would men Zeke and agent are willing to accept a deal closer to the Cowboys' offer
That's it

I think they are trying to package all 3 together and get them all done. Ask all 3 of them to take "not the highest paid" at their position type deal. Have all 3 of them do that and that way it will seem like they are all taking one for the team.

Apparently Jones said there are offers on the table for all 3 of them.

He also has one of the best qb's. dak and carr are both decent but not top guys

I think all players should hold out, no one should ever play. They should all just sit around and complain that they make a little less than someone who is worse then them They can stomp their feet, cross their arms and cry like babies that they don’t make enough.

Apparently there is a lot of support that contracts aren’t worth the paper they’re written on so what’s the point in having them? Pay them per game. Every team should have a set amount of money per season and the owners can have a bidding war every week so players can jump from team to team. We have a big game next week, we offer the most money to Brady. Easy game, we bid on Bortles. We need defense to come up big, go get Mack for the week. Players have no loyalty to any team and owners have no loyalty to any players, essentially the players get paid for how they are currently performing on a week to week basis. Their value will fluctuate up and down. Suspensions? Who cares, player brought it upon themselves, go bid on the next best player.

It would be much more entertaining than watching these babies pout while screwing their teammates over at the same time.
