What will it take to come out hot on first series of downs?

Would love to see them take a shot deep the first play of the game for once instead of the usual zeke up the gut or short passes that don't do anything.
Only if it's there. Taking deep shots puts you in bad downs. We won last week because we moved the ball. (After the first two series). Schultz came up huge.

Watching the Niners this year they seemed not to come out too strongly either. They are 2nd half team from the games that I saw.

I don't think there is much danger of this team coming out flat this week. Of course there is always that chance but I firmly believe that last year's debacle will serve as jet fuel for them. I am not going to sit here and act like the Cowboys are going to boat race the 49ers.. The Niners are a good team.. but I think in many ways they've benefitted from a ridiculously soft schedule and their record is a little misleading. The Cowboys have faced (and beaten) more upper echelon teams by a good margin. Though the Niners are good against the run the Raiders did hang 135 on them. And if Jarrett Stidham can put up 365 yards and 3 TDs I feel good about what Dak can do to them. They had no answer for Adams and Waller.. and while I don't think Lamb and Schultz are quite on that level I do think as a group our guys as a level up from what the Raiders roll out there.
..that's 2 likes, Ron. I saw that Raider game up till 3rdQtr.
Raiders went 15 rounds, barley lost.
We're better then Raiders.

Start the game with the two-minute drill. Don't allow any substitutions and punch them in the mouth immediately.
Hiya Mr Brookings!! :)) "We're going to make em bleed and punch em in the mouth. They'll fall down and get back up and we'll knock em down again! Then the ref will throw a flag and we'll throw HIM down too!!" :muttley:

Diggs at least attempting to play a little defense on run plays. Deion Sanders got more involved than Diggs does and he is far from a Deion in cover talent.

To 'come out hot' would require that WR's drop NOTHING that hits their hands.
Dak will exploit the non-C.Ward side of the field.
Pollard will get more than 4 yards per carry.
...and...
Dak doesn't revert to his mean and throw a pick when we can least afford it.

Only way your hero scores is if he is gifted a 1 yard plunge. He got one in Tampa and got completely stuffed. As usual, Dak had to run it in for us.
Zeke has several Red Zone TD's this year he does his job

Cowboys always seem to come out flat or at least we do so too often. Do we need to have some live full speed scrimmage before kickoff? Takes awhile to get Dak to chill out among others with same issue?
CDC....Coaching, discipline, culture...

Same same as run zeke up the middle on 1st down, very low probability of success.

Running zeke up the gut is beyond useless as well. Rather see then take a shot.

no huddle.
dak and the offense really seem to find their rhythm in no-huddle.

We play much better up-tempo anyway - don’t know why it’s not done more.
