That kindof surprises me. Coleman played for Parcell's when he was with the Jets. As bad as the Texans were last year, it is hard to blame him for having a beer or ten and missing the meetings. The meetings obviously didn't do a lot of good.

My guess would be that we sign Marcus Coleman and then draft someone in the 3rd round or later. But that would leave a lot of safties on the roster...

I think this is our best bet. Then let them play it out in camp. Could Davis be a backup at both safties and a special teams specialist?

On the radio they said that Coleman had some alcohol problems and that he was missing team meetings with the Texans. Said that Chris Palmer has filled BP on him so he may not be as good a fit as previously thought.

What do you expect from a Texas Tech Grad? There's not a whole lot to do out here in Lubbock, so we drink. For the money I think he's our best bet, even though I like Hope.

Griffen, the other UT safety??? He was a CB... he is projected to play CB or S in the NFL, but he lined up at CB for the Horns...

and he is an ok player... but, don't compare him to Huff...

What about Beriault? Before he was injured he seemed to be on the fast track to possibly starting for us. I don't think a safety will be drafted if Bill thinks Beriault is ready to go. Just my 2 cents...

If he comes back (a big if) he is a SS not a FS.

If we don't sign somebody in free agency, we will have to draft someone probably day one.
