Who says they're "refusing to enjoy being a football fan" by not watching the game? It's a personal decision to watch the game or not. If a fan chooses to not watch, that doesn't make them mindless or an idiot. And you think you can assume the reason for not watching. There may be hundreds of reasons not to watch aside from holding "some fabricated grudge."
