What would Herbert bring SD back in a trade

As mentioned in another thread ...........several high-level QBs are facing 2027 contract issues. No one's talking much about it now but when the season ends.

*** Lamar Jackson ...... no guaranteed $$ after this season
*** Joe Burrow......word is he wants out of Cincy
***DeShaun Watson......over $200M additional $$ kicks in if he is still on the roster 2027
***Baker Mayfield..........free agent
***Jalen Hurts ...............rumbling Howie may trade him. His time could be up in Philly, and his contract needs attention in 2028.
***CJ Stroud................word is the Texans may move on from him
All these players in a college football cycle that could have as many as 3-4 1st-round QBs

That's possibly 6-8 other options besides Herbert if I wait until 2027. My point is, I'm not sure they can get two 1st-round picks for him right now.

Besides......if he's worth 2-3 1st-round picks, why the heck would the Chargers trade him?
