What would it take to clear for Suh?

Other than Earl Thomas trade, the one bold Super Bowl-chasing move would be to sign Suh when he's released by MIA (as has been reported). Would cutting Ty Crawford, O Scandrick, Hanna and restructuring Dez with a salary cut be enough to get enough cap room? A D Line of D Law at LDE, Collins/Irving rotation at 3T, Suh at 1T, and Charlton/Tapper/Gregory? Or draft pick at RDE is instantly as good or better than PHI D line.

Don't see it.

They will draft DL again this year.

And a Lber.

They have to improve the defense w/o spending much money.

not a fan of the person so i wouldn't want him here anyway......

Suh's sack total in 2017 was his lowest in six years. His tackle total was also the lowest in six years, despite playing all 16 games. He's 31 years old and already got paid - what's his motivation?

Can we please stop creating threads for guys on the other side of 30 who are in decline?

I don’t think you can really look at sack numbers to judge the effectiveness of an interior defensive lineman.

I can look at a decline in every statistic - not just sacks, but nice try - as well as his age and the history of older big guys who have gotten paid. He's not the 25 year old stud he used to be any more than Sherman is the stud corner he used to be or Demarco the running back he used to be - they are all 30+ guys who are in decline. They have the performance to prove it.

This just another case of a player who was good once and now on the downward side of his career and has some name recognition that some fans think would be some great addition. A player over 30 and you want to cut 3 players to get him? Not a chance in any world.
.

Why spend a lot of money for a DL in free agency? When the easiest way to have a DL Playmaker is to trade up some positions in the Draft, and select Vita Vea. forget Suh, the cowboys dont have cap.

I wouldn't care if he was a mass murdered off on a technicality, if he can rush the passer suit him up

that's your preference and we can agree to disagree. i don't need a choir boy but his antics on the field lead to suspensions and penalties. and that can cost games and change the tide within games.

He's a dirty player that has cost his team several 15 yard penalties that kept drives going and cost his team points. He's been ejected a couple of times and has been suspended because of his dirty play again hurting his team. Not to mention the problems he's caused in the locker room. The Cowboys don't need that kind of baggage at any price.

I don't recall Suh being suspended or ejected from a game since moving to Miami

I asm not sure that would be a bold superbowl making move. did Detroit make it? did Miami make it? did their defenses get to elite level? Suh is a head case, that's why despite the talent, Detroit let him go and if available now Miami is letting him go...and he is older, so perhaps you are just infatuated with the name from 8 years ago...

He hasn't to my knowledge but has still picked up 15 yarders for his dirty play. He's just not worth it at any price. He's a cancer and nobody wants cancer.

Expect a lot of dumb "should we take a look" threads like every offseason.

He never misses time and is still a force inside

I would go 4/40m if he is released

If I'm spending on a vet, I want a guy who is a solid leader Suh is not that. Thomas is that.

he was lucky not to get ejected or suspended for grabbing mallett by the throat. he just hasn't learned to tone it down in his 7 or 8 seasons. he also almost got suspended for the kick to alfred morris' helmet in 2015. Just not worth it IMO.

There's nothing that motivates this FO to improve this team....only the ranking in Forbes.............we get excited and hopeful this time every year for nothing.
