What would the Cowboys playing an actual 3-4 do?

I think what may be confusing the original poster is that a 4-3 defense looks like a 4-3 defense while a 3-4 generally looks like a 5-2. The outside linebackers almost always line up on the line of scrimmage with the inside LBs behind the defensive linemen.

A ballhawking FS would be nice, but I think this defense is a couple playmaking linebackers short of domination.
