I think he could be successful (with a good mauling OL) in much the way Ron Dayne somewhat redeemed himself as the "thunder" in the "thunder and lightning" combination the Giants used to employ with him and Tiki Barber.
As a dependable workhorse as the focal point of an offensive attack? No way.
