Option A: We keep Garrett but bring in a OC (Turner, or Cameron.)

Option B: We keep Garrett but bring in a OC that isn't the two guys listed above.

Option C: Fire Garrett, Hire Sean Payton.

Option D: Fire garrett, and bring a realistic HC coach that isn't Sean Payton.

Option E: Don't change anything!

Discuss!

p.s. mods if you would like to make this a poll that would be nice too :D

I would add option E: bring in a GM and Jerry slides to traditional owner role

of the options you list, I'd go with C. If Payton is available and interested, might be too big an opportunity to pass up

I've made my opinions clear in sevral threads. If Sean Payton is available, hire him.

If Payton is not available, keep Garrett.

I want to see us win the next 3 games right now that is it.

Cowboys have an OC his name is Callahan in terms of who calls the plays that is really up to the HC. I find it funny that people get upset with Jerry yet is he letting the HC run the team as the HC sees fit and not forcing him to give up play calling.

My hope is Garrett can get this team winning ball games if he can then he will keep his job in Dallas if he can't then like any HC out there he runs the risk of getting fired.

If in the near future Garrett hands over the playcalling to Callahan then great but it needs to come from the HC no one else.

I think at least 2 of our Offensive Coaches are leaving, but Garrett is not one of them. I will not be at all surprised to see Cam Cameron and/or Norv Turner coming. Yes, I have heard that Norv will not be an OC ever again. I don't believe that.

I think the entire Offensive Coaching Staff is more involved in the game plan and play calling than people know.

C is too obvious. Anyone who doesn't want that has an agenda

D needs more info. I'd rather give Garrett another year than hire a guy like Gruden. Andy Reid i'd probably take over Garrett if he is motivated.

I'll have to go with option B. because C goes without saying and B is the most likely.

Sean Payton.

I hope Jason garrett finishes up strong here and then in the offseason parts ways.

Then we hire sean payton and a fresh perspective on everything.

I prefer E, could live with C, though I think it might make a mistake. I can easily see Norv Turner coming in in whatever capacity, and I hope he does. Cam Cameron I can do without.

C...Without even thinking twice.

Does my vote count twice if I say C again?

I would take option C, whether it's Payton or Gruden.

But realistically, I don't see either ending up here, and would take option E.

Why would I change nothing, because going with the flavor of the month coordinator will not fix the problems on this team. And while Jason Garrett may not be the guy that can succeed inspite of Jerry and make players believe that they are accountable to him and not Jones, I'm not sure if that guy is out there, besides the two unrealistic options I mentioned.

Now, as far as OC goes. Forcing Garrett to hire an OC that will call plays will only compound the true problem. Now if Garrett wants to hire Turner or Cameron, I'd love it, but if Jones supports Garrett is has to do it fully and allow him to make decisions like this on his on.

What offensive coaches could you see leaving?

Gonna go with John Garrett for one. Wilson, maybe, as the other one?

Fire Garrett and hire any big name coach that makes Jerry go back into Parcells mode.

The difference between me and the Garrett lynch mob is I don't think coaching is the issue. I think he can be a successful head coach. I just don't think it can be here. We need a name that commands respect.

Yep, the exact two I am thinking of. John may get a HC job in college.

The NFL is evolving and he coaches like a 70 year old man who is stubborn and doesn't adjust his system to his available talent.

He may have success 1 day as a coach but he won't be calling the plays whenver that happens. He also better take the next step and get to a highschool coaches level at game management.
