Considering our roster, upcoming signings and where our perceived draft position will fall in the next few years....

What would you offer for those 2 top 5 picks this year?

I'm willing to offer our next 5{including this year's} number 1 picks....

Take the best defender at #1
#5 I'm taking the best WR
Our 2nd Rd becomes a OL pick
3rd onward is all about D....and we rely on our 2nds for a few years{minus our typical 2nd Rd chance flyer picks of late}

We're pretty set for the next 5 years on our roster..... IMO

We could go all out and hire aggressive DC & wild OC out of college, then Carrot Top as HC

I'm willing to roll with...... Just imagine :facepalm::muttley::hammer::popcorn::popcorn:

I Blame America making this a hit...

You can only give up picks three years out.

You could lump all of our picks for three years together and it wouldn't add up to 2 top 5 picks this year

@NEODOG 4th Round pick LA Ram Cooper Kupp has more catches, more yards, and more TDs than the top three WRs taken in the draft combined (Corey Davis, Mike Williams, and John Ross). Myles Garrett, the best defender in the draft class by consensus, hasn't done squat this year. The two top OL in the 2nd round of the 2017 draft were Cam Robinson and Forest Lamp.

So no way would I want to give up 5 1st round draft picks for Myles Garrett and Corey Davis. Your top OL addition would have been Cam Robinson. That is what you would have got had you made your suggested trade last year. That would have been one of the worst trades in NFL history.

Listen I get that & my scenario is with this years group coming, which I think has special all over....

Somewhere you've watched that show....

And you're calling me crazy :lmao2:

Nope however between that and the Kardashians... The women at work talked way too much those of ldiotic.shows.

Special? I don't even know who the projected top defender is. Or the projected top WR? From what I have heard, this draft lacks the star power at the top and is more like a very solid and deep draft overall. Not a good year to have a top pick. Weak and questionable QB class. Mayfield looks to be the best to me but he has some question marks. RB looks to be the strength of the draft to me. Good RBs to be had deep into the 3rd or 4th round. Not a good year to be looking for OL either. Other than the two from ND and the one from Texas. Probably a solid draft for DBs. Looks to be about 10 WRs who have a good shot at succeeding, no sure hits. I'm not sure about this draft pertaining to DL and LBs.

That would be a crazy trade. Five 1st rounders around the 20's or later for the 1st and 4th pick this year. Well personally I see two reasons it doesn't happen.

First does our next five 1st rounders even come close to the compensation the Browns would be wanting? I really am not sure. Point wise we still would be getting the better of them.

Secondly the first pick would have to be for Rosen (QB) and that would be saying we don't trust Dak or want to go in another direction. Then there is the 4th pick which would be for Bradley Chubb (DE) if the Colts don't take him as the 3rd pick. If the Colts did take Bradley Chubb, you would have to be fine with getting Minkah Fitzpatrick (CB/FS/SS) or Derwin James (SS/FS).

Now the question would be to decide if those 2 players are worth such a trade.

You make that move for Rosen or Darnold, give the Browns Dak.

Cowboys would never do it but it would be a great trade and I wish they would.

I always thought we should’ve shelved Dak when Romo got healthy last season (around week 9) and then traded Dak to the Browns in the offseason for a king’s ransom while his stock was very high.

This thread is mind numbing.

You don't see the great franchises like the Steelers & Patriots moving that much year in & year out. They just stay where they're at, take the best player available, then kick your ***. That is what WE will do. Will McClay has done an outstanding job over the last 7 years, & we are very close to something special. I believe Clelin Ferrall, DE, Clemson, or his teammate, DE Austin Bryant will be available where we will be picking. If not, I really like CB Joshua Jackson, Iowa. The kid is a superstar in the making, with great size & speed, an incredible vert & stickem' for hands. Any one of those players will continue to help raise our defense to a championship level. Then, we keep taking winners from there.

Work with the Browns.
They have little leverage here -- both Darnold and Rosen could threaten to return to college.

Trade with the Browns -- give them Dak, draft picks, etc.,
But we know Jerry will not have the guts/the brains to do it.
